Crowds, chatter, and cold ones just off the curb at the West Village’s Corner Bistro. This old school McSorley’s-looking burger establishment blends bar, beers and burgers attracting patrons looking to get their mouths around the Bistro Burger. Jump in line and order your beer dark or light to be served up by veteran bartenders who move quickly and efficiently never skipping a beat. Be ready to be greeted by jovial gents behind the bar who look as old as the cash registers behind them designed circa Henry Ford’s Model T. Be ready and not indecisive for your drink of choice as they make the beer selection easy enough for a nun on a school night.

I thought the overall taste was excellent. Perfectly cooked and the burger was just fatty enough for awesome flavor. The fries were also very good. The service and atmosphere were not great, but somehow part of the charm. I place Corner Bistro in the elite burger joint category.

This small place is overly crowded and way to noisy, both inside and out. The burger meat is really cheap and tastes awful, and the fries aren't what they used to be. I used to be a regular but the noise level has increased and the food quality has decreased dramatically so I won't be back ever again.

Pretty good. But NOT in the top five here in NY. Not even close.

I love Corner Bistro I go weekly. It combines excellent music, with one of NY's best burgers and a simple yet comfortable neighbourhood bar feel. I think the burgers really are perfect.

Don't understand what everone is talking about. Bistro is 1 of the best burger spots in the village. Come on a burger that size with fries for 10 bucks even. $2.50 beers. Where can u possibly go wrong. And hey if the burgers are that bad, try the chicken sandwich, or the chilleburger. You will not be sorry.

Back in 2003 times were different. The Corner Bistro was different. This place got too comfortable with its name and reputation. Back then, the burgers were amazing and super cheap. Just tried the burgers (2009) and this place has fallen off the map. Maybe a switch of cook, but the burger was well dried out, even when I asked for medium rare. No seasoning, burger was pathetic. Told my sister, who didn't believe me. She came to visit for the first time in 6 years. She tried it, same result. Like an old friend, it's change and just isn't the same. Not only that, prices rose; don't mind the price rise but for what? Don't understand it.
