The Best
Far and away the best burger in NYC...and probably anywhere else.

Overrated
I visited Corner Bistro a couple of weeks ago after reading many great reviews about this place. I was disappointed! This is probably the most overrated place I've ever eaten. The burger is small and the taste and quality is so so. The place is old and unclean. I don't know what is the big fuss about this place, and why people rave about this place.

Yumm
I am sitting here craving this so bad I might just die. It is so delicious, Juicy red meat, oozy goozy American cheese! Yummm! Order it loaded with extra pickles. Stella in a big mug. I hate the lines. I live right outside and am always discouraged with the people, it's like 'go back to Murray Hill'!

Ram it down
The burgers are epic, the staff ain't the kindest...if you can put up with waiting forever and being treated poorly then go for it. They really do make a righteous burger.

The Best
I went around 5:30 which was perfect. I was alone and didn't feel bad taking up a table. By 6:15 the line was out the door and I forgot about that second glass of wine. I also forgot about the special order of mayo on the side but that was OK: the burger didn't need it. I had it "dry" and couldn't tell the difference. The flavor was so good I'm wondering how they got it that way! And so cheap. Only problem is the popularity and the line. Go early, go late or be patient.

Love it
Monthly pilgrimage required to this mecca of quality beef and cheap beer. $2 McSorley's draft beer! One of the best burges anywhere, including Chicago and Philly. Staff does as good as they can considering how noisy and crowded this place gets. Do yourself and your waiter a favor and go early on a weekday.

Good food ? unfriendly atmosphere
The bacon cheeseburgers and fries are always delicious. Along with a beer they would make a perfect nightcap after a night of carousing with the boys in the West Village. Here?s my bone of contention: While the majority of the cooks and wait staff are business-like polite, one waiter is notoriously rude. My solution is to never leave a tip for poor table service of any sort. I just get the burgers ?to go,? tip the cooks directly, and then find a comfortable spot to enjoy the occasional indulgence alfresco.
