have never had ANY issues with service , usually way too attentive, and since my sis lives down the block I have been here very often...happy hour is a steal for the very fresh oysters..drinks could be cheaper but really great artisinal liquors...finally expanded food section which I need to try...great neighborhood joint with no attitude

I have been a fan of this spot for years. Back when it was a hipster korean place, and now at the americana hangout. The food and booze are great.! the atmosphere is chill, it's not too loud and very manageable, even at it's thickest. The food is a bit on the pricey side, unless you like oysters and can get there before 7pm ($1 per! AMAZING!) Up until a few of weeks ago it was a regular hang out for me. Then I started noticing issues with at least 2 of the bartenders, and few of their wait staff. The attitude and lack of grace and care of these people were astounding! It wasnt just with me (actually it's never been directly me, but more with the people I am with, and other customers around me). They are rude, unhelpful, and care more about hitting on customers then they do about service. They have gone out of their way on many occasions to ignore customers. It just doesnt make any sense that it has become like this so quickly. It's such a shame. Aside from the help. This is a really great place!

The Gastro pub food is great. Bourbon selection is very wide. Craft beer selection is very wide. Staff is friendly. BUT its location doesn't attract many people. Very underrated restaurant/bar. Best spot on vanderbilt if people were to go there.

This new addition to Brooklyn is totally worth the trip. The pork sliders are awesome, but the cocktails ROCK. The homemade apple margarita and the pear champagne drink with cinnamon are like nothing I have ever had before! You must check this place out and have many affordable drinks. Better than most places in manhattan for drinks and the staff is really friendly.
