    confused...

i order from here an average of twice a week. i literally order the same thing 95% of the time. that being said, i think i'm at least somewhat qualified to review coppola's. this restaurant is completely inconsistent. sometimes, it's the best italian food in the area... other times, i'd be better off going to the olive garden (and beyond the salad and breadsticks, there's no reason to go to the olive garden). i ordered the pasta bolognese sunday night... fantastic. i ordered it tonite... not so fantastic.. actually, pretty bland. it almost seems like they have two guys that are on completely different pages in the kitchen. when they're on point, they're great. i think i need to ahold of a copy of the kitchen staff's schedule. that being said... when you order out, the prices on the menu are significantly less expensive than dining in.

    unexpected

Very unassuming from the outside but pleasantly surprised after walking in. Amazing scallops, great prices. Live across the street and will def be back soon.

    pleasant surprise

Stumbled into Coppola's on a cold Sunday nite loved the atmosphere, service and food. Baked clams were delicious... refreshing to be in a restaurant where you can actually hear your companion's conversation. Servers were warm and friendly... we will be back.

    Solid Regular Pick

I order from Coppola's at least once and sometimes as much as three times a week. Solid food and consistent. I have been to the restaurant numerous times and it has only gotten more and more beautiful with all the new decor. My one bit of advice if anyone from the restaurant is reading > Get a basic phone system that only requires a phone number. I have been ordering for years and it's my ONLY complaint. Overall a solid four and I am definitely a NY foodie.

    great food, bad on phone

We ordered for delivery this evening. The food was excellent. But one dish was ordered - tortollini in vodka sauce, and we received a dish of chicken, potato, veggies. When we called, the woman on the phone argued with us, saying that we got the right meal. She was saying the chicken was the tortillini dish (there was absolutely no pasta or vodka sauce in the meal we received.) It was frustrating, and she finally sent over a new meal, stating we needed to return the old (no problem). I understand them not believing when someone calls, but if you spend $50 for delivery, you kind of expect to get what you ordered, and not have to fight for it.

    Big portion, average food

I just moved into the neighborhood and I picked up food for myself and my girlfriend here last night. For $26 dollars, we got 2 entres. It was ready in 10 minutes, and was very hot. It is about 5 dollars cheaper to have the food delivered versus eating at the restaurant. The portions are very large. We could each get 2 meals out of each entree. That is the plus. The minus is that the food just was just very average. This is the first Italian place I've tried in Gramercy/Murray Hill, but I was just not impressed. I doubt I will go back.

Best food on the east side

Coppola’s is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is great. It is a great place to bring a date or out of town guests. In the summer they have comfortable outside seating. Their pasta dishes are my favorite, and make sure to try the chocolate soufflé.
