Good, solid, stick to your ribs Italian food
As a hotel Concierge, I have to be aware of different types of restaurants in the city. Some people like a "dining experience", some just like good food. If you're looking for an experience, Coppola's may not be for you. If you're looking for good food and fair prices, then by all means go to Coppola's. I first discovered this place because one of my guests ended up disappointed in an Italian restaurant i recommended for him and his family. It was a "flavor of the month" type restaurant that left him underwhelmed. In his words, "I can care less about who eats there and what NY magazine has to say..." He went to Coppola's on his own and reported back that it was a great meal and he left satisfied. I've always walked by this restaurant buy never gave it a second thought. Now I know better. With more than one location, this is where I send people who want a good Italian meal that won't bankrupt them. Their eggplant parm is delicious and the red sauce on their pasta was quite tasty! The service seemed a bit absent minded, but I'd prefer that over snooty. Over all, I can recommend Coppola's to anyone in need of a good Italian meal at a fair price.

Just average
This is another Italian restaurant run by people who do not care or understand quality. The Veal Parmesan is mediocre and the sauce is nothing special. You either use San Merzano Tomato Sauce or you use the cheapest kind you can find. They forgot the bread and Parmesan cheese even after I mentioned it, and the dish was $20 which is on the high end for average food. An Italian restaurant should at least be able to get the order straight even if it is average quality.

What's happened with delivery all of a sudden?
Solid place with good food, I used to order 4 -7 meals a month from here for delivery. Lately they have been messing up every order. Sometimes the phone just rings and goes to fax, other times they are charging you for menu items you ordered but are missing.

Fabulous restaurant!
We were in the city for a day and decided to have lunch here. The prices were so reasonable. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! We sat outside on the patio because it was such a gorgeous day out. We didn't feel squeezed in, there was plenty of room. This restuarant is definitely a keeper!

Very good Italian standard
We went with friends on Saturday night. We hadn't been here for several years. All our dishes were excellent; Caesar Salad (we requested anchovies), Black Linguine with lobster, Scallops with risotto, Spinach ravioli. Good expresso- we skipped dessert. For our neighborhood, this as a reliable place for a very good meal.

Great food
My wife and I frequent Coppola's on the East Side at least once per week. The food is excellent, the portions are large and the service is attentive and professional. We highly recommend it.

Nice surprise
Six of us had dinner here as a "second choice" on Friday night (7/8/11), and it was the best thing that could have happened. The service was great (with the minor exception that I had a hard time getting a price on the "wine of the day"), the food was delicious and plentiful, and the atmosphere was pleasant. This is now definitely on my list of favorite regular places.
