    Poor customer service

    The food is usually good, however, the people who work there are so rude that I would NEVER order again. They obviously don't value their customers as I have been a regular for 9 years and when I called once to tell them my food arrived uncooked, I was treated like I was trying to scam money from them.

    We ate at Coppola's our first evening in New York and were taken by the great atmosphere. The food did not disappoint and we are headed back tonight to have another delicious dish! Scallop risotto was fantastic and the homemade bread brought to every table is addictive. Great little spot!

    Very disappointing

    I've been going to Coppolas and ordering delivery from them for literally 20 years. It used to be a great neighborhood restaurant with excellent food. The quality of the food has been steadily dropping for the last few years, only topped by the speed of the drop of the quality of the service. If you dare to call for a delivery now, you get a surly humorless robot who takes your order with no appreciation. The food is now rubbery and bland. Stay away. I predict it will go out of business very soon.

    Bad experience

    Service: dour and sullen. Asked for a recommendation. The response, an annoyed "I don't know". Pizza Margherita: burnt to charcoal. I love a well-done crust, but no one likes completely blackened mozzarella. Linguine alla vongole: half of the clam's shells were shattered into dangerous, razor-sharp shards. Penne alla vodka: not even half as good as what one might buy in the frozen section of the supermarket. Overcooked, gummy and bad. Would never eat here again.

    Solid Delivery

    Food is good, not amazing but good to really good. Big fan of the bolognese sauce. Delivery service is exceptional. Food gets there quick and hot.

    Great place!

    Have lived here for 30+ years in NYC. Coppola's has Very good food, fine atmosphere and wait staff. I had a Very good experience with a party of 4. I highly recommend this restaurant over any Italian restaurants on the Upper West side.

    Wonderful food, cranky waiter

    Last week I went to New York to accompany a family member to a Doctors appointment, since we had time for lunch and the other family members had eaten there before, we went to Coppola's for lunch.The dining room was nicely decorated & inviting but the waiter who seated us seemed to be angry, he looked quite annoyed and the tone of his voice confirmed his irritation ( like perhaps we weren't welcome) it was one o'clock in the afternoon not five minutes til closing so I couldn't figure out what his problem was. Really, I thought whats a cranky french waiter doing in a Italian restaurant?? The food however was excellent! fresh, well prepared, generous portions I was impressed! So whats with MR. Cranky Pants? isn't being pleasant one of the requirements of food service? Time to talk to staff about attitude - - rude staff is not good for business.To his credit he did get better as the meal progressed, maybe he thought we were there to order coffee, mess up the table and pay a tiny tab? and yes! we'd eat there again cause it's just that good.
