    A Mixed Bag.

Ah, CooperTown. The rule of thumb at this place is that the food will generally be well-prepared although with occasional lapses in flavor, and that the service is very friendly and prompt (deliveries as well). The bad news is that the prices are noticeably higher than other diners in the area (usually $1-2 per main item). Sometimes a routine BLT, order of fries or a burger will be lacking in taste. The quality of the food is always good (in terms of freshness and grade of meats) but occasionally it can be bland. Breakfast here is terrific, certainly the best meal they serve in my opinion. The diner is very clean and well-lit. All in all, a good diner with some minor flaws and slightly inflated prices.

    Excellent food and service

I have been going to the Coopertown Diner for ten years, and it hasn't changed since the first time I tried it. The food is amazing and so is the service. Unlike some other diners, the cost isn't high and the portions are large. I strongly recommend that you try the Coopertown Diner, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do.

    Great Diner for breakfast

I usually go here on sunday mornings for breakfast and it is perhaps my favorite diner in NYC. Definetly try the French Toast. i haven't been there for lunch/dinner yet (but i am ordering now :)

    Huge Portions, Recently Renovated

We've been going here for more than a year, and I've seen this diner transform. Old waiters have left, new waiters appeared, but two important details remain for Coopertown: really good diner food, and -E-xcellent proportions. Better yet, the food usually arrives hot and quick. Coopertown's atmosphere has improved. A few months ago the diner renovated their wall decors, gone are the old dusty posters and replaced them with pretty mosaics. But unfortunately, prices have risen. Many of the popular diner choices, like the burgers and appetizers, are nearly two dollars more. Still, Coopertown remains an excellent choice for a growing neighborhood -- and after dinner, you are guranteed to be full.

    Good food and service

Very good food. Fresh and well prepared. Excellent menu choices and portions are very big. Service is excellent but prices are a little bit high but not outrageous. Try for a table by the open windows it is just like seating outside. Recommend it highly.

Better to eat in than delivery

I come from Jersey, where the diner is a staple. But I must say that Coopertown would give any NJ diner a run for their money. It's usually crowded for breakfast but if you have to wait, it's only for a few minutes. The waiters are very attentive and the food comes FAST. Some items are pricey but the portions are HUGE! We order delivery sometimes too, but they frequently forget fries and sodas, so I usually have them repeat the order. Overall, great diner food and great value.

    Fast, Good Food

Been going here for at least five months now, so I can safely write a review of the strengths of Coopertown Diner. The waiters are very friendly, and attentive -- they're also quick -- once you set your order, they're zipping back to the kitchen. The prices are average, for two the check usually comes to 20+$, but at least the portions are big. You're almost guranteed to be full. You can even order appetizers as a meal and you'll be content. The atmosphere isn't amazing, it's a typical local neighborhood diner. Still, the friendly waiters and the food make up for the lack of pretty colors. Other pros are the orange Juice tastes freshed squeeze (but needs more ice!), and the irish breakfast is very satisfying.
