Good but what's up with delivery?

Okay, I just have to put this on here so I can remember next time I think to order. They only deliver in a 3 block RADIUS from the restaurant!! That's not delivery! The food if you can get it is decent but come on! I live 5 blocks away! Annoying!

    Best Bar In Washigton Heights

Been that i've been living in washigton heights for over 13 years, the only bar i still go to is Coogans simply because its a great place to go and have a drink with your friends. The best nights to go are tuesdays thursdays and sat that been if you like karaoke!! Now they dont have happy hour but they do have a different drink of the day for only $5 which beats happy hour lol..Food was great and the service even better. There is nothing better than to know your gettin exactly what you want!! I also loved the way one of the owner takes time out of his hands to go to each table when he cans to make sure everything is going ok Now thats Great Customer service! I give Coogans 5 stars!!

    An Institution in the Heights

I love Coogan's, except for the noise on some nights. I have been going there (although less and less since I'm no longer in the area) since they opened over 15 yrs. ago. What started out as a place hospital employees can go to for lunch and hang out for after-hours drinks; as well as a nicer restaurant for the area locals, has become an institution in the Heights. The staff are wonderful and personable for the most part. Yes, I've had a run with a few who cared more about being out-of-view than in service, but this happens in about every restaurant from time to time. For the most part, they've been great. I really miss the waiter (he's no longer there) who used to take time whenever I was there (and whether he waited at my table or not) to make my Tom Collins perfectly (the bartender couldn't get it the way it should be). My faves: Captain Jack burger and their fall-off-the-bone ribs.
