We chose this restaurant based on the menu and it looked like a good place.First we stood at the front wondering if we seat ourselves because no one was there to greet us.We both chose items from the daily special's menu so we thought it was going to be good. The food came and to be honest, the presentation was very good. I tasted the mixed vegetables and the first thing that came to mind was frozen Birds Eye because of the distinct pepper taste. Then I tried the turkey and it was as dry as could be. The stuffing was mushy and not flavorful at all.The only thing good on my plate was the mashed potatoes. My fiance couldn't even eat her pan baked cod, nor anything else on her plate. Before we even got a chance to say anything the busboy came by and swept the plates of the table. We were thinking about another drink and before we could order, the check was on the table. We heard one of the servers asking if a manager was on site because of other customers complaining. If I could rate this place in the negatives, I would. Please understand, we are not complainers by any means but the food was so unappetizing here we had to write a review. If you go here, observe other people around you and rate their satisfaction before you order.

Try the Traditional Irish Breakfast!
My wife and I visited the location across from the MoMA and it was very welcoming. In one weekend we ate there twice! If you're there for brunch, Try the Traditional Irish Breakfast.

Not your typical pub food
I was really surprised by how good the food was. I was reluctant to eat at a pub cause i wanted to have a good meal but i decided to give it a try and it was great! The perfect steak sandwich was amazing! They were extremely quick to bring out our food which was surprising because it was very busy. I was also surprised at how nice the inside was. The prices were very good for the quality of the food and since its NYC. Only bad thing is that it can get a little cramped but all in all it was a great experience!

Excellent Restaurant
We were in New York for just five days and ate twice at this restaurant. Both times the food was excellent and the service superb.

A Rainy Day at Connolly's
One of those lousy, rainy days in Manhattan, but Connolloy's brightened the mood. We all had wraps which were excellently, fairly priced, and served as advertised. The menu is varied with a lot of old favorites. People we spoke with said the chicked pot pie was "marvelous". If you're a french fry connoisseur theirs are light, not greasy, and lightly crusted, not too salty. Worth a visit. We were at the one on 45th St. before a show. We'll go back again.

Very satisfied
My mother, her friend and her friend's 18 year old daughter came to town, and my boyfriend and I wanted to take them somewhere with a diverse menu, good prices and great atmosphere in Times Square. We were not disappointed! There was no wait to get seated for our party of 5, and the service was good. Each of us ordered something very different, and everyone raved about how good the food was. My mother said they served the best sheppard's pie she had ever had (and she is not easy to please!)

Best Irish Bar in New York!
A group of us travel to New York from Ireland every year and our first stop for food and drinks is Connolly's. The staff are so friendly , all in all the place is brilliant. We love it and we will be back there for Easter 2006... The Shepards pie is delicious!
