    Great Burger, Lackluster Service

There was a 20 minute wait even on mid-afternoon on a Saturday. The burger was excellent, and now due to a recent menu change, includes thick cut, flavorful fries at no extra charge. Blueberry pancakes stacked up well too. However, the waitress was inattentive. She never circled back to check on us and just plopped the check on the table without asking if we were interested in dessert. Which we were. The big draw for me is Community Food's use of free range meat and natural ingredients. I'll come back for that reason, but not because the service is anything to rave about.

    Very tasty, a little pricey

I had a turkey burger which was delicious and also side of sweet potato french fries, where were also quite tasty. Nice space, wait staff was fairly attentive but I didn't find them to be overbearing. Am glad for a fresh change of pace from all the dingy, bland places around Columbia.

    Great Food low key service

We keep coming back to CFJ - the chicken is excellent, great greens, good soups. Want to eat everything on the menu. The service is a bit funny at times - seem like undergraduates at columbia, but other than that it is wonderful.

    A bit pricey

The food was very good, though the menu is not terribly exciting. It was a little too loud to hold a conversation without screaming and I felt that the wait staff was standing around watching our every move, ready to pounce at a moment's notice, which made for a very uncomfortable situation. While there was nothing wrong with my meal and the vegetables did taste very fresh, the prices did not correspond to the portions. For dessert we had the pumpkin creme brulee, which was delicious. Not sure I'll want to save up my pennies to get back again.

    Ok food, Ok service

I ordered the rice bowl with chicken. I was shocked that the dish was served cold with raw vegetables. I wish they had explained that on the menu. The food was ok. Nothing special. The sweet potato french fries were tasty, but the portion was small for the price. Its a cute space, but the food is way overpriced.

    Fresh change for Morningside

Went here with the consumate carnivore, and we both thought brunch was great. No complaints about the servicethey were police and on top of coffee refills before we even asked. Everything probably costs a dollar more than it should, but had such an enjoyable experience that I'm not going to hold a buck against them.

    Great

I ate here New Years Eve and had great food, great service - not sure what people are complaining about. It's a downtown restaurant conveniently located uptown.
