Huh?
The place looks great, and everyone is right...the red and green sauces are amazing, but be prepared to douse the entire meal in them if you want to try to swallow anything. Old and tired things showed up on our table, from the chewy, tiny calamari to the enchiladas even the rice and beans were way off.

Food was good
after so many restaurant failures at this location, i was hesitant to go back. but lo and behold, the food was good. service was pretty slow but friendly. good margaritas and the nachos comidas were tasty. i'd return.

Overpriced
Just returned home from dinner at Comida and will NEVER return. Had Nachos with beef as a starter - these were good, but not great. Main meals were, for the most part, OK, but some aspects were genuinely unappetizing. For example, the rice was totally inedible - all the taste and texture of hard plastic. The bill was over $50 - an outrageous sum for a meal ranging from average to bland to disappointing. There are many better Mexican restaurants around with much better value.

Mediocre Mexican
If you are interested in a paying a significant premium for basic Mexican, this is the place. We ordered the Pollo de Plaza a vegetarian quesadilla and an order of guacamole and chips. The Pollo de Plaza consisted of a basic chicken breast black beans and rice, and while tasty was certain not worth the $17 we we were charged. Similarly the $8 quesadillas turned out to be two small corn tortillas stuffed with black beans and rice. The guacamole, while good, was a very small portion and did not come with an tortilla chips. Impressively, our meal did not include a single vegetable and still managed to cost $30. Sadly comida mercado fresco is around the corner so it seems we will have to look further afield for decent Mexican.

Best Restaurant in Park Slope
Was a little nervous about what the food was gonna be like as it just opened and the place was empty - but to my suprise it was awesome! The waiter recommended an appetizer - some kind of cauliflower fritter which was amazing. Dinner was also just as good if not better. I tried pork tacos with two sides and my bf had the duck in mole sauce. Both of us were shocked with how good the food is and how reasonable the prices were. #1 restaurant now in park slope.

By far the BEST!
I actually just received their delivery, and had to write this review immediately. The food is the freshest and most delicious I've had in Park Slope hands down. This is what I think of when I want Mexican food. My dilemma is solved! Clean, fresh, and tasty. I give it an "E" for Excellent!
