Burger & beer
I finally stopped in the other night after walking by for the last 6+ mo. Nothing spectacular but pretty extensive menu. I kept it simple with the chefs burger which I thought it was perfect. Fries were excellent too. Bun would have been better if it was toasted a bit more.

Waited for food with 3 young children for 1 hour
We came with three young and very well behaved children and waited for our food for 1 full hour. At the 40 minute mark I asked the waiter if the food was coming shortly because we were waiting for 40 minutes and he said,"the kitchen is really crazy"- how is that my problem? How about saying,"You are right- I am so sorry and I will find out". At 55 minutes, I went to the manager (who seemed very nice) and our food came out several minutes later. The order was also wrong, with with three kids, we figured that it would be another hour to get it right. The food was not anything special, and when we got the bill, nothing was taken off, and there was no offer of dessert for the kids. Good service seems to be a thing of the past I guess.

Great food, poor service
Went here with a group to celebrate a birthday. The food is very good, but our wait was almost an hour to receive dinner and the waiter was surly and snide. With good service this would have been a restaurant to return to. Never again.

Disappointed
Everything was too salty. The BLT dumplings are fried wontons, not dumplings and way too salty. The artichoke appetizer is over dressed and too salty. The burgers are bland and not cooked to the way you order them. The fries are too salty. Even the short rib and bone marrow burger is bland, if not greasy from the marrow. I love bone marrow, but this does not work. The deviled "eggs" is one egg. the prices are high and value low for the neighborhood. I am not sure I would return. It was better for brunch items.

Will become a new regular for sure
I read online this had changed hands and opened as Columbus Tavern and wanted to stop in. I am a sucker for a great, rambling bar...long, dark wood, and a nice vibe. Top that with a really great wine list (The Oregon Pinot Gris from King Estate at $11 a glass is a fantastic value)...well, I am sold. Our bartender was amazing, the place was FULL of both families in booths (eating some pretty scrumptious looking burgers) and dates, and singles. Perfect mix. Love it. WILL be back.

Much needed neighborhood addition
Very cool interior, amazing solid wood bar and most importantly GREAT food. Been twice now, saw some stumbles with the service but I think that will get worked out; everything we've ordered has been delicious! I love FINALLY having a "tavern" like this on the UWS.
