Poor Service and Management
I live a block away and have eaten here periodically the last 10 years and no matter how much improvement on decor, the food and especially service & management is both lazy and rushing you when they are rarely ever busy(major hint). Although chinese restaurants are known for their rude service, this one is hiding it behind a serene decor. The "hostest"cashier/manager is always sitting, reading and barely pays attention and when you make an effort to address a problem, she just responds with attitude like you're interrupting her reading. Food is hit or miss, but I stick with ordering what I know is decent there. Bottom line is this place has never had the quality of food & service that it warrants for the raised prices. They are riding on a remodeled dining area & location, but the kitchen, food & services stays as short as always. Put it this way, I walked out the last time. I'd rather take the abuse & walk four more blocks to Ollie's for at the least, much better food quality than to reinforce such poor business practices. Good luck!

Don't eat the sweet and sour pork
This was possibly the most unappetizing food I have ever tasted. Tiny 'bit's' of pork in a soggy batter covered in a sauce a shade of orange I have not seen since the seventies! Had to throw it out after a few mouthfuls. Delivery was super quick - so I assume it must be in a pot somewhere ready for the next unassuming fool who makes the unwise and expensive decision to order it. NEVER AGAIN!

Not Recommended
Lackluster service. No one to seat you, food mediocre, small portions, served luke-warm "hot tea". Not a great experience. Skip it!

Fantastic place
Everything was fantastic. It was my first time eating at Columbia Cottage. I ordered from the Lunch Menu which was super cheap! I got Broccoli in Garlic Sauce. The menu didn't say whether it came with white rice or not, but when the waiter gave me my dish lo and behold there was white rice. The broccoli was fresh and cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious and just spicy enough. The white rice was fantastic and not overcooked at all. The waiter we had was also fantastic, always coming over to refill my glass of water. Overall, I loved it, and I will be going back again for more.

Good local chinese food -
The food here is consistently tasty and economical. The service is good. The lunch special is a good deal and the food is fresh and well prepared.

Free Wine Is Over
Due to an "incident" a few weeks ago they are no longer serving unlimited free wine with dinner anymore. The first caraf we had (4 people) was what we expected from free boxed wine but the second and last caraf (because we were told only 1/2 caraf per entree = 2 small glasses) was diluted down to the point where we were basically drinking wine flavored water. The fun is over at this location. It used to be a great place for good food and good drinking, but no longer. Goodbye Columbia Cottage!

too salty
Every dish I've tried here is waaaay too salty... you get a free carafe of wine if you dine in, but the over-priced food and crappy-but-free wine sort of cancels each other out. It's a decent place to sit and talk, though, and the service is fine.
