At first glance, Cola's doesn't seem like your quintessential NYC Italian restaurant. It is relatively inconspicuous to begin with, and its relatively small size hardly increases its prominence. However, as wise women have often said, "it's not the size that matters, it's how you use it". Upon entering, you are greeted by a most gracious staff, whose only purpose it seems is to cater to your every desire and whim. The service was perfect, our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely polite. The experience as a whole was fantastic, the food was well priced and delicious, the portions plentiful, and the ambiance was soothing and comforting. I usually refrain from writing reviews online, but for this instance I could not resist.

The food is always delicious and the service is superb. I recently placed a delivery order and one of the items were wrong, which the fault could be on my part, but after explaining the mistake to them, they were willing to redeliver and bring me the right item. This is during the rush of lunch hours so you can see how helpful and nice the staff is. I highly recommend this place and will definitely order from them again.

I'm totally impressed by the authenticity of this place. The food is really outstanding, and delivery comes with plentiful and delicious bread, too! It's my go to Italian dinner these days. Highly recommended.

The food is always good (pastas are better than meat dishes), the staff is always friendly and efficient, and for a small space, they do a pretty good job at creating a cozy, mellow atmosphere. Not a destination spot - it's hard to stretch out a meal here for more than an hour, but a nice place for a very good, reasonable meal.

I had to chuckle when I read the anonymous review that precedes this. I honestly find the exact opposite to be true. Anyone who was raised in or has traveled extensively around Italy will recognize this gem as the real thing. The ingredients are always fresh, the spicing is on the money, and the extra virgin olive oil distinguishes this from the run-of-the-mill lasagna house. And, in this day and age, an amazing bargain, to boot. On my recent visit, I tried the Special Grilled Sardines with Fresh Fennel and Sicilian Oregano and I was transported back to the Mediterranean again. I will happily return.
