    Great first time!

Last night in the city and my best friend decides to bring me to Cody's. 4 or 5 hours later I had one of the best nights (drink and foodwise). Bob (the bartender) is quite a character! Great dude. After a while we met Polo (the chef) who is also an awesome dude! Excelent food! We had jalapeno poppers for starters, I had the lobster raviolis, which were amazing and my friend had the penne and prosciutto, which he could not stop saying how good they were. All in all an amazing night with our new pals. Definetely going back whenever Im back in the city. Cheers!

    Poor Service

My family and several friends walk into your bar waiting for the wedding party to arrive at the Fire Museum and decided to have a drink at your place. Your guy working behind the bar place a glass of beer on a coaster and got stuck and spill over the counter. He was furious and got a towel and swipe it all over the counter and beer was all over and down to the floor and wet my husband's suit and one other guy sitting at the end of the bar. He did not even apologize! We were about 15 people when we walked in and he has only about 3 customers at that time. Apparently he was not prepare to handle many people at one time. We shared our horrible experience at the Fire Museum staff and they all said thats not unsual because this guy working at the bar is known in the neighborhood with bad attitude towards customer. How could the owner tolerate this kind of behavior and put up with this guy? Unless he is the owner and he just don't care. We visit NY numerous times every year for the last 50 yrs or so and never experience someone with this attitude. By the way this incident happened on Oct 6th around 5:20. Everyone just ordered drinks and no food. This restaurant is very lucky to be still in busines to have an employee with this attitude.
