great
I've been weekend breakfasting at The New St Clair for 15 years because it's my local spot and because there oughta be some advantage to being a regular (Norm!) But it has always been a 50/50 gamble that service would be adequate, that you could catch a waiter's attention for coffee refill, that you wouldn't get overcharged. And still you knew that you were paying too much. I just ate here at Cobble Hill for the first time and it was where I should have been all these years. Good people, old school, at least $2 cheaper across the board, just a righteous diner. Pisses me off that I've had 'loyalty' to a joint couldn't care less about me. It's a longer haul for me down to the CH Coffee Shop but it's where I'll be if you need me.

Love it
Love this place. They make the best pancakes around, and probably the best chicken soup. The owners are super nice. Always greeted with a handshake and "How are you, my friend?!" I usually go on Saturday or Sunday morning with my girlfriend for a late breakfast. We were out of town one weekend, and when we returned the next week, the owner asked where we had been! This, despite being massively busy and crowded. The coffee machine is cleaned constantly -- a rarity in the city. The coffee is smooth and plentiful. They also have a machine that squeezes oranges on the spot, creating the best OJ north of Florida. Have the pancakes - seriously. Just don't tell anyone about it. I don't want to wait on Sunday mornings.

Massive Improvement
This place is pretty awesome. They have everything you could ever want to order and it tastes really good. The food, and the service are of much higher quality than other places in the neighborhood. Great prices for the amount of food that you get. Everything came out really fast. They make a mean Ruben.

Our version of 'Monks'
As a former Jersey transplant, I hold diners in high regard. The "new" coffee shop is a great atmosphere, wonderful staff. They have a fast turnover but never make you feel rushed. The management/owners are very much involved and overall a wonderful experience. I've lived in the neighborhood for years and was craving my 'monk's diner' and finally have it. Enjoy!

Best Diner in the area
This is by far the best diner in the area. The prices are on the cheaper side, the food is cooked quick, coffee is plentiful and the service is social. Decent burgers for dinner too...

thank god for changes
This is what we have been waiting for a decent diner in CobbleHill. The food is much better and the service compared to some other places ive been too. This change is really good everything is cooked and it seem like the bosses watch everything to make sure things are good which helps. The best thing about this place is even when its full we are allowed to wait outside until there is a table available good luck cobblehill diner hope you stay around.

massive turnover
I was really impressed with the turnover this place did when me and my best friend ate out for lunch last sat. Food tasted much better and the service as well! The walls got fixed up pretty nice and the booths, plus the mirrors and a good improvement of music the oldies just the way i like it. The managers look more on the alert being sure that everything is runned smoothly. the older staff from what used to be DonutHouse is gone thank god because they didnt care about service just to sit on the counter. The name change to CobbleHill coffee shop really helped the change i will be looking foward to recommending other people from the area to go eat there. This place is even better then the stores on Montague street. God bless the store and the new people in it.
