Average Food
Clubhouse in quality and price is "chetzi" between La marais and Kosher Delux. The food was average but considering we are a people who ate matzha for 40 years It's good enough to go more than once. Like all Kosher places they tend to over cook food (rare= medium rare, medium rare= well, well= Dead). The Hamburger is the best thing I've had but havent really enjoyed anything else I've gotten there. The restaurant is ok as far as kosher restaurants but the music is too loud to talk

Don't understand the complaints
I've eaten at Clubhouse 4 times, twice this past week. I don't see what complaints people could have. Place doesn't hold itself up as a five star, and it isn't. But what it is, is excellent of its class. Sharp and attentive service, pub style menu well and speedily executed, hippish youthful atmosphere. I'm thrilled to have the option, and have thoroughly enjoyed each outing. I say give me more place I can go and bring my non-Jewish friends or clients.

Great Place for Birthdays and Dates
I've been to Clubhouse twice in the past month, once for a friends birthday and once on a date and I must say if you go at the right time, early sunday evening or with reservations (on a saturday night) than you will be moe than happy with the service and the food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting the food is absolutely delish, burgers, chicken sandwhich and the fries, also the dessert is fantastic!

Disappointing Food
I went with some friends for dinner. We ordered the wings and duck empanadas to start. The wings were good but the empandas were bad. Not only weren't they tasty but they were the smallest things I've ever seen. For the main course I ordered the southwest spiced chicken breast. When it arrived it was chicken on the bone with skin, which defeated the whole purpose of ordering chicken breast. It also came on a bed of chili (there was no mention of this on the menu) which tasted awful. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Skip Dessert and Drinks
Main dishes were fairly good; steak sandwiches, steak (tasty but skimpy for close to $30),hamburger, and fried chicken and mashed potatoes(never saw this served in a soup bowl before). Fries and grilled vegetables as sides were very good. Service was inattentive. Lighting is very poor; it would be nice to be able to read the menu and check a bit more easily. Now for the chutzpah!! $10 for a piece of chocolate cake (it was tasty so we can give it a pass), but $4.50 for a skimpy cup of coffee, and the worst yet-$4.75 for a cup of tea (the water was barely hot and we had to request lemon). We would go back, because there are not many kosher choices in the theater district, but would drink only water and have dessert and coffee and tea somewhere else.

Amazing Experience
Just got back from dinner at the Clubhouse Cafe. We showed up with 4 people + a baby in a carriage. This could definitely have been a disaster because most restaurants in the city aren't really equipped to handle babies, but they were very accomodating and understanding. The service was really incredible - That does not mean you SHOULD be bringing your babies to this restaurant, but they were very understanding. The food was really good and the cocktails were incredible. I really feel that we got the most bang for our buck and it was a much needed great night out. We'll definitely be back, but without a baby.
