Always good
The food is always good, and the service is fast and friendly. I live five blocks away, and the delivery is the quickest in Brooklyn Heights. It's a family-run operation, and the staff has been there for many years.

Laziest diner owners ever
Diner owners are known for working hard - keeping long hours, and going out of their way to keep their customers happy and loyal. But this diner's owners are the exception. Clark's has decent enough food, but opens late, closes early, and is reluctant to deliver anywhere beyond a couple of blocks. They stay in business because of lack of competition. I've never seen such a lazy diner staff before. Overall OK, but only if you cater to them.

Excellent local Restaurant!
I have lived in Brooklyn Heights for 11 years and have had MANY meals here - they are wonderful, so accomodating, and familiar - even if it's been several months since we've been there, they still know our names and our work schedules! The food is classic, solid, warm , feel good comfort food - they have no problem with changing things on the item to meet our personal requests..classic NYC diner food! Excellent!

Differs By Day
I'm a reliable customer of Clark's, but in recent months have been surprised by how little attention is being given to what I've ordered and what I'm actually served. I can say 4 times, "soft-scrambled eggs" -- only to find them coming out like shoe leather. Or...the toast will be cold,but the rest of the breakfast okay. And I would change the wording--"You want potatoes with that, man?"--to something a bit more truly New York and less south of the border. But...I continue to give 'em business.

Poor Delivery
Had the turkey wrap and it had more honey mustard than turkey. It was unexpectedly hot, complete with a soggy tomato. I will not order from them again

Great little diner!
My wife and I have been eating here for over 20 years. It sits on the corner. One side of the restaurant has large windows that line the sidewalk. Some of the waiters have been working here for many years. No doubt that contributes to the good service. We frequently have family and friends visit us from the midwest and we usually take them here. They get a kick out of eating in a real NYC diner while watching New Yorkers scurrying past the windows. This place does exceptionally well with their hamburgers and breakfasts. We have never had a bad experience. It is our favorite diner in Brooklyn Heights.
