Best Restaurant in NY
I lived at the hotel st George for a year when I was a student and after I moved away I never found a better restaurant! All the dishes I had was amazing, and the service and staff are phenomenal. There service is so welcoming. Very generous portions and well presented! Definite recommendation, also my best friend is a sucker for the orange juice! A must try!

Great Breakfast in Brooklyn
Clarks is a great place to go for a tasty brunch. The service is super-fast and the food is high-quality and generous. There might be a small wait but it will only be "two seconds" before you're seated, thanks to Mark, the owner and kind host. Ask for a ham and cheese omelet as a scramble, you won't be disappointed. yum.

A True Diner
There are some day when you wake up craving some chocolate and blueberry pancakes, a hot cup of coffee, freshly squeezed OJ, and possibly some bacon and sausage with that. There are other days when you might crave a hot grilled chicken sandwich or a juicy burger. Regardless of what kind of food you're in the mood for, Clark's is a great place for any of that. As a diner, the food is on point, and the service, albeit a bit slow, is attentive when it needs to be. If you want a waiter breathing down your back every second and seating you as you enter, then you've come to the wrong place. However, if you're wanting some nice quality food that will 'hit the spot,' a casual, old-fashioned, and relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a meal, and a not too expensive restaurant, then Clark's is your place, especially for brunches. That being said, the place is closed on Sundays, and I agree with one of the reviewers that it's a tad pricey. Relative to the other restaurants in the area though, it's competitive.

Excellent food
Top quality diner food and super-fast delivery service. The staff and owners are very nice and treat everyone well. The Clark BLT with avocado is a favorite, as is the aforementioned Yankee Bean soup. One of my favorite places in the Heights.

Not recommended
Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato. How do you screw that up? I bit into it. No cheese. I opened it and looked. Almost none (the amount of cheese was equivalent to the amount of butter you'd put on toast). I tried to gently point this out to the waiter. He said, "There's three slices of cheese. You calling me a liar?" I said, "I'm not calling you anything; I'm telling you there's barely any cheese."...And it got worse from there- me saying, "I'll never come back," and him saying, "Good!" Never had such a poor experience anywhere in my life. My word of advice: there's plenty of diners in NYC --avoid this one!

Winter soup
Must give the Yankee Bean Soup. Not usually my 1st choice, but the way they make it here is fantastic every time. Secret Recipe?

Possibly the most disappointing coffee anywhere
Everything here is mediocre, but tolerable. Unfortunately the coffee is neither- disappointing is a word that comes to mind. Here is a place that has the 3 "Locations" and a beautiful rebuilt restaurant with a built in crowd. Why not make it delicious? Get some frickin real coffee, please. Or Nespresso or something- that'd be a no brainer.
