Finally hit it's stride
I live in the area and have been a number of times for both dining and drinking. I've always enjoyed it, but they had a brief stint with a higher-end menu that just didn't work. Food was good, but expensive and a bit over-the-top. There new summer menu perfectly fits the space and clientele. The bar menu items are perfect to share (hummus, fried calamari, scotch eggs, etc.). My friend had a simple bratwurst and I had the roast chicken. Both hit the spot.

Has gone way down hill!!
I have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed the food. Apparently, they have changed their menu and their food is just disappointing now. I basically ate diner quality food and paid a much higher price. I will definitely NOT be returning.

Not recommended
Our table of 8 waited more than an hour and half to be served ordinary stuff like hamburgers, mussels, etc. We started to complain after about 30 minutes and were finally given bread. We were told they were "short staffed" and had an "unusually large crowd," even though fewer than half the table were filled. We were last to be served, although we were there before several other tables came after us. We were given complementary drinks and at one point when I went up to ask (again) for mustard and mayo, I was told to sit back down! YIKES! I have heard about poor service but this was unbelievable!

atmosphere + deliciousness
a place with character on an otherwise uninteresting block... phenomenal food, really friendly service, awesome decor. the salmon i ordered was gorgeously plated and soooo tasty. great happy hour deals. the two hot guys behind the bar were really friendly and helpful explaining the beers on draft and wine list (but i couldn't tell if they were a couple or not... oh well). if they played anything besides top 10 hits all the time it would be the perfect bar.

Hit the spot!
The bar menu, to the salads, appetizers, and entrees- all delicious! A stand out establishment amongst the manhattan pub scene!

Great place
Came here to check it out.Stayed for food and drinks, will be back
