I decided to go here w/ my boyfriend for our 2 yr anniversary during restaurant week. Despite our reservation, we ended up waiting an HOUR to be seated. The restaurant was packed and service was not good. The food was cold and bread tasted like a freezer.

Last night three of us went there for restaurant week's menu. We each have different appetizers. The lobster bisque was on the salty side, the salad was refreshing and the shrimp ravioli was wonderfully done with the touch of pumpkin seeds. For dinner, two of us ordered the 1-1/4 lb. lobster clam bake which came with claims, mussels, corn on the cob and potatoes, they are totally worth the value. The other person ordered crab cake and was delightfully surprised by two nice size crab cakes. Again, totally worth the value. For dessert, we tried both the key lime pie and chocolate cake with ice cream. They are portion well and wonderfully tasted. The restaurant week's dinner menu is definitely worth the value and we will definitely go back again. P.S. Love their bread too! We asked for seconds and they brought the second basket right away.

The food at this restaraunt was pretty good, but it certainly was not worth dealing with the slow service and incompetent management. For starters, it took about 20 minutes to get a glass of water, with the restaraunt operating at about 10 percent capacity. And upon arrival, my girlfriend realized that she had forgotten her wallet (and subsequently her I.D.) at home. Despite being 30 years old, and not having been carded for years, they refused to serve her a glass of wine. The working manager showed no judgement in the situation, was rude and inconsiderate, and embarrased our party in front of other guests. Despite attempting to reason in a polite and levelheaded manner, the manager responded with a stubborn and patronizing attitude. I think there are likely many more seafood restaraunts in the city that can offer a better experience.

I tend to eat here in the city as the location is perfect for my bus at the end of day out of the city. I know many people have negatives on here for this place but I have yet to have bad service. We had reservations for 530, was a bit early but no problem getting a table. I asked for the pre-theater menu and the waitress gave me no problem. My friend had the house salad, raw oysters and steamed lobster. I had the pre-theater with the crab cake (all crab, no filler - excellent), salmon with crab on top(huge piece I couldn't even finish) and the chocolate cake. The staff was great, service quick to get out of there before 7pm and overall a great experience. I do not hesitate to go back again any time soon.

I just arrived home from this restaurant & it was a total waste of my time. The food was not great, the restaurant was too hot, & the waiter was useless. Why do they have a Pre-Theater menu & a Restaurant Week menu posted in the window? You have to request these menus & when I did I was advised from today until after Labor Day they will not be offering the Pre-Theater menu, yet it was posted in the window, save your money & go somewhere else!

Last evening 7/26/07 we attended dinner. We chose the restaurant week special. And to our dismay found the service to be severly lacking. The wait staff just about ignored us. It is because we chose the $35.00 special? I can't say. The table was incorrectly set, never did they ask if we wanted another bottle of wine. Never asked if we would like coffee our desert. Don't bother to ask for any extra dinner rolls. They were trying to be clear our plates while we where still eating. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. It made fast food out of what should have been an enjoyable evening. The food was un even at best. Great crab cakes and steaks. But you would think that your would get a great lobster at a restaurant called City Lobster Oh if that were only true, Unfortunately the lobter was not served whole and was chewy at best. I guess they saved a part of the lobster for soup or fillings I suggest you try another restaurant, that is unless you like wasting your evening or dinner out.

Went there for lunch 3 times during the past week. Ordered from the restaurant week menu. Crab cake is as good as it gets. Unfortunately the NY strip was not good...tasted like some low grade leftover steak. Striped bass was very good and juicy.Service was ok but had to ask for bread. Got the impression that they try to rush you off during peak lunch hours, which is somewhat understandible.
