I went during restaurant week. Our server was really slow and only filled our glasses once during the whole night (we were there for 2 hours). My lobster ravioli I didn't care for becasue it was drenched in butter (it looked like butter soup!) and it might have been partially raw. My main course was 1 1/4 lobster clam bake which was actually tasty. The dessert was tasty too! For only spending 35 bucks and getting a lobster, clams, and mussels I really can't complain. I will not be dying to go back at all but it was it was good for what it was worth.

Having lived in Manhattan for 8 years I am used to high priced restaurants, but this was worse than most. Wine was $12-$14 for a miniature (3 oz) glass entrees were overpriced with no substitutions allowed. A very disappointing experience, I would never eat here again.

I went with my wife ther for our anniversay dinner. The food was ok. I've had better Lobster and steak at other resturants. Tha appitizers were ok and the Mayrland crab soup was good. My wife's lobster soup was like drinking hot skim milk, with a hint of lobster flavor it was substandard. The service was ok. The booth seats were unstable and mine kept moving. The seat cover fell off and my coat fell underneath. I had some good beers and the wine was good. Overall a mediocre experience at best.

Great Lobster, Fab Carrot Ginger soup... a bit pricey, but at least we did not come away with a bad taste in our mouths! Service was very good. Will for sure go back and would def try it if you have not yet....especially if you love Lobster.

My friend and I had dinner here this past week and again very good food and service. I had the crab cakes and my friend had the salmon ......lobster chowder is great and creme brulee and fruit cobbler for dessert. We have been here now a few times and no problems at all. Would suggest to any seafood lover to give it a try!!!

We had dinner here last night, to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated promptly, but hadn’t had our order taken. The manager noticed and came over to speak with us. He recommended a delicious wine and was very nice to us. The calamari is awesome. They're so good that you don't even need the sauce, but if you do dip it tastes even better. The lobster was yummy. When I requested to have the cooks de-shell the lobster for me, they did. They even brought us an anniversary dessert on the house. The manager and the staff was so accommodating, we felt like celebrities. It was the best anniversary dinner we've had in NYC. We will definitely go back.

Last night my husband & I had a GREAT dinner at CITY LOBSTER! We had reservations for 5:45 & was seated right away. The service from the time we walked in until we left was fantastic. The hostess was first putting us next to a large party of 12 (that hadn't yet arrived) as she was ready to seat us, she hesitated and said we would be more comfortable at a different table. As the waiter was taking our order he was very up front when my husband asked how the filet mignon was. He told us it was good, but that they specialize in seafood & they had some wonderful specials. We ordered a shrimp cocktail (5 Large Shrimp) to share, my husband had a special - Monk Fish & I had the Crab Cakes. We ended up sharing each others meals. They both were delicious! We had a few glasses of wine with dinner & finished off the meal sharing Mango Sorbet. We finished our meals without rushing & instead of getting a cab to the 8:00 show, we walked with time to spare. On our way out the door, we grabbed their business card - they will be sure to see us again soon!
