    don't bother

A tourist trap. Our experience was subpar. There were 6 people in our party. First, no soup special and then when one's soup did come, no spoon. Bottled water but no ice or glasses. No bread till the entrees came. (6 people, 6 slices-hope you don't want another) One entree came with a big empty spot where the gnocchi was supposed to be. Well, they were out, so it was just left bare. no apologies, and when something did finally come out to take its place, it was rice, in a bowl, after everyone had finished their meals. No pepper even offered for the caesar salad-had to askand wait. Want seafood? Go somewhere else.

    not good

I had the pre-fixe dinner for $34.95. I got the clam chowder, sea scallops, and chocolate cake. The clam chowder was a watery salty mess. There were almost no chunks of potato, clams, or anything else and whatever bits I did see were super tiny and unidentifiable. I didnt finish it. There were only 3 pieces of scallop for the entree. Actually, there were technically only 2 scallops. One was a regular diver scallop. The other two pieces were super thin and it was quite obvious that it had been just as big as the other one but it had been cut in half to make 3 pieces on the plate. The two thin pieces were cooked well but the thicker one was very raw in the middle and quite disgusting. I didnt finish this either. The chocolate cake came with a miniscule scoop of ice cream and was forgettable. I would never eat here again.

Good Dinner at the City Lobster and Crab

I dined here this past week being in the city for some of the tennis in queens. Dinner was a bit early, the place was not crowded and I got a seat right away. I had the Field Greens with a raspberry vinaigrette and Chilean Sea Bass with spinach & tomato gnocchi, sautéed broccolini & herb beurre blanc. The sea bass was excellent and very nice portion size. They brought me my bread quickly and the wait staff were very nice. I usually eat here when I am in the city and it's always a good meal. I will be back.

    So NOT Worth It!

After making us wait for 30 minutes at the bar (ordering a beer on TAP at $9 a glass) we were finally escorted to our table even though we made reservations! Our table was all the way in the back where it was very hot. Their idea of shirmp cocktail was 3 shimp. They did not serve you bread unless you asked. The $13 wine glasses they brought out were half the size of a regular serving. The lobster wasn't anything special. The steak was served on pretty much an empty plate. (No vegetables or potatoes.) The dessert was bland. I could get chocolate cake better at the supermarket. As for the service, we never got utensils with dessert until about 2 minutes after it was brought out, leaving the ice cream part to melt. The waiter never came by to check on us AND it took about 20 minutes from the time they cleared our table to get the check. Don't come here!

Down To The Sea in Slip-Ups

My friend and I went here last night for Restaurant Week. We didn't expect the seafood to be Great, but did want Good. It wasn't good. My "clambake" was cold and old. The lobster was more like a "chicken" size than 1-1/4 lb. and it had been hanging around too long probably for a microwave heat-up, with my whole plate. It didn't heat. Sad to say, nothing was good between the two of us. I would be ashamed to serve that tiny drink ($11 !). The place was packed, so they're making money but never again from me. (Our waiter, by the way, was just terrific.)

    Poor Quality

I ate here last night for Restaurant Week and had an 8pm reservation. We were not seated until 8:45. The food was mediocre and the service was poor. At the end of the night the server gave me two different bills with different amounts that I had to point out to the Maitre D'.
