overpriced
Stopped here while killing time on 7th Avenue.....Had the chicken cutlet with what I assume was cheese and mushrooms on it. It cost $7.50 for 1 cutlet and it was bland. There are counters/stools in front so I don't know what 'atmosphere' people are talking about. Most people there were getting a salad. Hopefully that was a more economical choice than mine.

SPLENDID!
City Food Bar is a superb restaurant. The location is perfect, and the atomosphere is out of this world. the variety of food and drinks and snacks is just right, it leaves you wanting more, wanting to return over and over again, which i do! the service is also very quick and efficient, perfect for when you are in a rush! the value and quality of the food is also wonderful. it is fresh and delciious, just like it should be!

Always great food....
Nothing at City Food Bar has ever disapointed me! I love everything there. They make great mixed salads, the soup is hot and fabulous, and everything is very fresh. The staff is sooo nice. They even delivered to me once even though they were closing!

Great for a quick bite
Two of us ate there. Had a sandwich each, very tasty, and shared a large butternut squash soup. Soup was excellent and the large is enough for two. Probalbly the best "quick " food we have had in Manhattan. Staff was excellent as well. Would difinately go back.

Great place to grab lunch...
Yum! I love this place. There are so many sandwich/salad places around Penn Station, it's hard to find quality places to grab a quick bite. The sandwiches are delicious here, and served on your choice of bread. Try the chicken with pesto and portabello mushrooms... mmm. Meats are of high quality. Minimal seating. Better to pick up and go back to the office. Pleasant staff.
