We went to city crab last night to celebrate my mothers birthday. She and I had been there twice before and were pleased so we decided to go back. Not a good choice. The waiter took at least 10 minutes to approach our table and once he did he took our appetizer order but not drinks. I had to get up and ask him to come back for our drink order. Once he did, several minutes later, he proceded to attempt to apologize by telling us the hostess sat him too much which is why he couldn't get to us. The appetizer came quickly and the calamari was actually very nice. Unfortunately there was another 30 minute wait for the entrees. The tilapia was bland and was the stuffed salmon. The best part was the french fries. We never saw the waiter again until we had to find him to get our check. We will most likely not be back to the crab.

This place is for the seafood lover. City crab is one of my top seafood restaurants and it is very reasonable. If you are a shrimp lover like i am, you have to try the jumbo buffalo shrimp. These are sooooo good, you will have to get one for yourself if your dining with friends because no one wants to share. For entrees, (they are all great) I use to have the same thing which was shrimp imperial but I just tried the salmon and it is FABULOUS! For dessert, which i don't normally eat because I try to stay on a diet but the Oreo treat is sooo good, its hard to resist. I love this place.

I've been to City Crab a quite few times over the last 3 yrs and I never had a bad experience. The service staff is always friendly and they know what they are talking about. The food was always excellent. I usually go for the surf and turf and the steak could not be any better. Some of the famous steak houses cannot keep up with CC. The lobster tail was perfect and they have the best oysters in town. And yes, it's not cheep but the food is worth every penny.

When it was time to give recommendations to the table, our waiter basically recommended everything - everything we asked about was "one of his favorite." I finally asked him if there was anything he wouldn't recommend, he said chicken, which wasn't even on the menu. Then he told us that there were only 2 lobsters left in the entire restaurant so we better put our order in soon. On our way out, there were about half a dozen lobsters still in the tank.... On top of that, the food wasn't very good, edible, but definitely nothing I'd order again.

I have eaten here 3 times for business lunches and I have to say, this is not the greatest seafood that I have had. The food was very bland. I mean, it couldn't get any blander than the way the food was prepared. I had the swordfish club on one occasion and then the striped bass on another. It's as if the chef just took the fish and threw it on the grill without adding any value to the flavor of the fish. No herbs, no spices, nothing. Just the taste of the grill. I don't mind spending quality money for quality food, but this is not it.

I had dinner at City Crab this past Sunday evening with my wife and a close friend. After having to move tables because of a disturbance at a nearby table we ordered. I had Sea Scallops, my wife had Jumbo Shrimp and my friend had grilled tuna. The shrimp were not Jumbo, the sea scallops were mediocre and the tuna was small and prepared poorly. We have been going to City Crab for 10 years and this maybe the last time. The prices have gone way up and the quality for what you get is not there at all. If you raise your prices you need to make the food you serve worth it otherwise why bother. There have been a number of better restaurants that have closed recently, I would not be shocked if this one follows.
