Four of us went on a Sunday evening at around 8. The restaurant was dead, but every dish took forever. My cousin had a rubber band in her vegetables. They were out of soft-shell crab. The tuna was complete gristle to a point where it could not be cut and was inedible. The waiter was running around complaining about what an awful night it was and how busy it was, yet there were only half a dozen tables in the restaurant that were filled. He kept giving excuse after excuse for the horrible timing of the food and the other problems with it. We asked to speak to the manager after we found the rubber band. He took off most of the items on the bill and gave us dessert. However, the service and and quality of food was unacceptable.

It was the best seafood that I have ever had. The crab cakes are exquisite and the crab legs sauteed in garlic sauce are delicious!! I love the jasmine rice and the spinach sauteed in garlic sauce will compliment any meal. The atmosphere in the day is elegantly casual and in the evening it is elegantly fun and upbeat. It is a wonderful place to enjoy gourmet seafood with friends or on a date. I recommended this restaurant to some friends and they said it is the best seafood they ever had and you will too.

Not that impressed with the menu was hoping for some warm crab dip considering the place is called City Crab. Ordered the seafood gumbo and after about 3 bites, couldn't even get it down my throat. Was like a bowl of gravy and had no spices in it whatsoever (clearly, they have no idea what gumbo is supposed to taste like). Don't bother wasting your time or money.

I went recently with friends and I thought the crab cakes were really good but everything else was bland. The dishes....nothing really special..... the seafood didn't taste that fresh. I've had better elsewhere. I wouldn't go back.

This place offers ok food and ok service. The crab cakes are very good and so is the chowder. the prices can be on the high side but then again given the location that is to be expected.

I have wanted to go here for quite some time. We arrive at 7 on a weeknight and the hostess tries to bring us to some dark corner upstairs when the entire downstairs is empty. My opinion of a restaurant however, always ends with the food. The King Crab legs, an entree well over $30, tasted like they had been heated and reheated about 10 times. Really rubbery and dry. everything else was passable but very reminiscent of a chain restaurant, nothing unique about this food at all. and on top of that we spent a fortune. I will not be eating here again.

We went to city crab last night to celebrate my mothers birthday. She and I had been there twice before and were pleased so we decided to go back. Not a good choice. The waiter took at least 10 minutes to approach our table and once he did he took our appetizer order but not drinks. I had to get up and ask him to come back for our drink order. Once he did, several minutes later, he proceded to attempt to apologize by telling us the hostess sat him too much which is why he couldn't get to us. The appetizer came quickly and the calamari was actually very nice. Unfortunately there was another 30 minute wait for the entrees. The tilapia was bland and was the stuffed salmon. The best part was the french fries. We never saw the waiter again until we had to find him to get our check. We will most likely not be back to the crab.
