Used to be a lot better. Prices have gone up considerably with less for the money. The best value is the Happy Hour.

I have eaten at this restaurant for approximately 15 years with my family. It is spacious, comfortable, and the staff is friendly. However, the food has really slipped. I love New England Clam Chowder and I order either that or the oysters every time I go. The oysters are pricy, but still good. However, the Clam Chowder from FreshDirect is better than what they serve here. I am sad to say this place has become a tourist trap.

I honestly cannot believe City Crab has received good reviews. The lobster I ordered was boiled into rubber, while my girlfriend's tuna was so well done it looked like a piece of pork. Always be wary of a restaurant that is mostly empty on a Thursday night in NYC.

It was available to make a last minute mother's day dinner reservation; and that was already a good signal... We (the party of 6) waited for our food (just sipped the wine and the cold bread) for exactly one hour and 40 minutes after we placed orders and I am not joking or exaggerating. Food....? We were like... really....?

One of my favorite seafood restaurants in the city...always have a good time here...love the atmosphere...seafood is always fresh and they have a great beer selection!

Happy hour is great because the things I like are half price. The drinks, oysters, crab cakes, gumbo and calamari are my personal favorites. Service is plenty decent enough. Have been back there several times and we are always satisfied, Martinis are well worth it (again happy hour). I think I had dinner there once years ago and there was a wait, and seemed pricey but I am a cheapy, but was decent all around.

Happy hour. Quite empty. 2 bartenders, not really doing anything. 15 minutes, no service, not even a Hi. Walked out with my wife. Most likely will not be back, too many places with good food AND good service.
