    Not good. . .

Even bad. We all know the drill in manhattan, restaurants can be expensive. This place offers nothing in return though. Poor service, poor atmosphere and the food is bland at best. But seriuosly, with so many culinary options within walking distance, there really is no reason to try it out unless you really like the orange walls.

My boyfriend and I came in last night (Valentine's day) to sit at the bar for cocktails and apps before a show. I had called ahead to inquire about the ordering food at the bar, needing a reservation...etc. The hostess never mentioned there was a "special menu" that night that only had seafood items. We finally decided to get the Lobster and Shrimp Ravioli. For $25, we were disappointed to find 6 flat, sparsely stuffed ravioli with baby shrimp on top. We did enjoy the pinapple margaritas, even though we had to beg both bartenders for service. It's beautifully decorated, the bathrooms are spotless and the hostess was nice...but I wasn't too impressed overall with the things that count for returning.

    Fabulous dining experience

I went with 2 of my girlfriends for drinks and dinner. The atmosphere is great, nice crowd dining there. We went on a friday night, was a young business-like crowd. The food is excellent, and drinks too. I loved their mojitos! The seasoned edamame was delicious and quesadillas for appetizers. I also enjoyed my entree. Highly recommend this place any day!

    One of my favorites

Food is great and menu is diverse enough for anyone to find something. Drinks are tasty and the setting is open and fun. I try to go every few weeks and have never had a bad time.

    Love the brunch, dinner ok

I have been to Citrus for brunch about 3 or 4 times and have always left happy. My favorite is the veggie egg white omelette with goat cheese - so flavorful and delicious. Their Cocktails are generally great at any meal - particularly the white sangria and mojitos. I also love the vibe at the bar on weekends. Dinner food is very good, but the prices seemed to go up a lot recently and yet portions remain small. The bill at the end of the meal may catch you off guard....

    Love It

Citrus is definitely one my favorite restaurants in NYC-- and that's saying a lot! Whether you're craving a burger, or sushi, or even Mexican-type food... it's there to be had... not the mention their amazing Sangria and drink menu. I highly recommend this place as a gathering for friends, dates, or even just a place to meet after work. The setting is amazing (Upper West Side! Can't beat it!)-- and the restaurant is decorated in such an uplifting manner- you can't help but be happy! The service is great-- even delivery is promt-- though I recommend making a reservation for dinners-- especially Thurs-Sunday... Whenever someone has come to visit me in the city, I take them to Citrus- and everyone has loved it!! I HIGHLY recommend it!

Disappointing Food with Service to Match

This place was listed in some online guide as having "good brunch." So we gave it a whirl. Service was poor, slow, inattentive, and not very responsive. I had to ask three times for a slice of lemon that took a half-hour arrive, because the three times I asked for it occurred roughly every ten minutes, and those ten minute blocks were actually the briefest intervals between our waitress's appearances. Ultimately the bus boy had to hook us up because the waitress was so inept. Then there was the food, which was as poorly presented as it was prepared. I had an eggs benedict variation, and on top of being nearly cold and almost totally flavorless, the yolks were almost as solid as if the eggs had been hard-boiled. I could go on. This place was straight-up junior varsity, if that.
