Consistently fun and delicious
I am surprised to see so many negative reviews of Citrus on this page. This is one of our favorite restaurants that we return to time and time again. We have brought many friends and family to Citrus with us, and everyone is always pleased with their food and drinks. I love their frozen margaritas, the baby spinach salad, and the shrimp fajitas! And for dessert, you have to splurge on their warm caramel apple pie with cinnamon ice cream. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Mediocre at Best
Did I go to the same restaurant as the other reviewers? The food here is mediocre at best and I was overall disappointed. Lured in by the seeming popularity, which must be due to the slight "scene" atmosphere, because the food was at times poor-- the only decent dish was a salad.

Best restaurant in the city
I had dinner at Citrus last night. I live on west 76th st and for some reason never had Citrus on my radar. Why I have no idea. My girlfriend and i went in for dinner and it was nothing short of excellent! We started off w/ some margaritta's at the bar (the best in my life. I kid you not! soo smooth), We then sat down and had the special sushi appetizer (melted in my mouth) , and each had the shrimp fajita's as our entrees. Sooo good!. We also ordered a bottle of wine for dinner. I'm not much of a wine guy. The waiter was incredibble knowlegeable and walked us both through the process. He was super friendly!. Almost forgot, the warm salsa and chips on the table were killer!. btw, this is a real review. i've never done this before. Citrus is now my new go to spot and is definately on my radar!

Excellent
I read a few of the reviews regarding Citrus and was worried about going there, but clearly the negative reports were wrong. The food, service, atmorphere were all EXCELLENT! Of course service might decrease on a very busy evening, but that would most likely go for all restaurants. All four of us in our group thoroughly enjoyed the meal (each chosing a different dish) and the cocktails are yummy!

Poor service!
I've gone to this restaurant many times but my most recent experience would not make me go back. I went for dinner with my boyfriend and it took forever for our waiter to even acknowledge our presence. I think that maybe he didn't think that we were big spenders so he spent more time with the other big tables. we ordered our drinks and entrees and our entrees came before our drinks. Three quarters of the way through dinner we had to ask the busboy to ask our waiter for our wine! Maybe if our waiter had checked up on us after our food was delivered to the table he would have realized that it might have been nice to enjoy our dinner with our drinks. We pretty much had to wave our waiter down every time we wanted service so by the time the check came we were ready to go. This restaurant needs to train their waitstaff to appreciate all customers.

No Second Date
I used to wonder who wrote these reviews but this meal has sent me over the edge. After being squashed into a table 4" from 2 unfortunate souls on a disaster of a first date, I had the pleasure of a waiter who was rude and inaccessible at first. That was the last I would see of the waiter since he never bothered to come back.I could write all day about the perils of this meal but the short of it is this place is overpriced, with painfully medicre food and subpar atmosphere.

It's Great
I have always had good meals here, and now it's better than ever. I just would like a few more wines by the glass. Service was excellent and when the St. Patrick's Day crowd got very loud, my waiter got my check quickly without my having to ask.
