    America's Best Apple Pie

I'm from Dallas Texas, and I must say Citrus' Apple Pie is the Best Apple Pie I have ever tasted in all my travels 'cross the country. I'm a huge Apple Pie fan--HUGE! But never have I tasted an Apple Pie as extraordinary as Citrus'. My view of the Citrus apple pie: 5" in height, 4" outer edge to a sharp pie tip. Top with COFFEE CRUMBS that take your pallet to heaven with every bite. Filled with thick pieces of Apple that melt once they touch your tongue (unlike most apple pies with apples you have to bite into). And the filling engulfs the apple made with what taste like whipped apples, coffee crumbs, cinnamon, and vanilla. Served with one scoop of vanilla or cinnamon ice cream and a sliced up strawberry. All tops with swirls of melted caramel. WOW! I have to get me a slice tomorrow! If you're not an apple pie eater, one bite of this pie will make you a Citrus Apple Eater. Once you have your first bite of this pie, please come on here and reply to this post thanking me.

Pleasant meal & drinks, crowded room

I met up with three friends for dinner one Saturday evening after hearing good things about the Citrus. Two of my friends were late so we waited at the bar. The drinks were creative, flavorful and fairly strong, which is always a good thing. After 15 minutes the rest of the party showed up and we were seated. The dining room was extremely crowded and we all felt that we were eating on top ourselves and other patrons. We also witnessed other customers leave because of the lack of space. For appetizers we started with the Trio of Dips and the Yucca fries. The dips were pretty tasty and there was an adequate amount. The Yucca fries were just Yucca fries, nothing special. For a main course I ordered the Grilled Sliced Organic Skirt Steak. The steak itself was seasoned nicely and the accompanying sauce provided a good compliment. The mashed were equally pleasant, although they could have used a bit more cheddar. I also tried my girlfriend?s chicken, which I believe was a special. The chicken was fabulous. It was extremely tender, juicy and fell right off the bone. I would consider ordering it if I were to go there again. Overall the food at Citrus is well made and worth the trip, although I recommend going on a less busy evening.

    Great Drinks, Great Food

I've had a dish here for brunch, lunch and dinner. All very good with there own style. Also attended a dinner party, where appetizers of Portabello Mushroom Quesadillas, Teriyaki Kebabs, just to name two magnificent dishes. Staff was attentive and experienced, and the meal was fabulous. Good wine list as well, and as said in other reviews - fantastic specialty drinks.

Guess I'm a regular be it take out or in

They've got me hooked on the Pomegranate Margarita, the Chopped Salad, the Salsa (chips are a bit weird), and the secret Chicken Fajita's that only appear on the take out menu at a nice price. Love the Dragon roll too.

    Hot & happenin'

Absolutely fabulous food and drinks; I loved everything I ate and drank - and I eat and drink a lot. The chef and bartender(s) are genius. This place is fun and hot and happenin' and I would move in if they'd let me.
