Not recommended
Went to Citrus for the first time with my family for my brother's birthday on a recent Saturday night. I was very disappointed in the service--waiter acted as though he was doing us a favor, food came out at all different times, they were out of a number of items. The food itself was not good, particularly for the price, and I'm not someone who typically complains about restaurants so long as they show some effort. The place was loud and I found the atmosphere uninteresting, despite how busy it was. I've walked by this restaurant many times with the intention of trying it and will not be returning.

decent food, bad service
went to Citrus just the other night, a Sunday night. was a decent crowd, but definitely not overcrowded. to the point, the food was decent, the prices were average. as mentioned in some reviews, the menu does make the food sound better than it really is. the biggest disappointment is the service. we ordered 5 entrees, no appetizers, and it took about 45 minutes to come out. for a not so overly crowded night, that was a looong time to wait. not to mention, during the wait, not one staff person came over to check on us. trying to flag down a waiter was harder than trying to flag down a cab during the mta strike.

Continues to be one of my least favorite UWS establishments
Well it had been almost 2 years since I had last visited Citrus... I never found the service to be any good and the food was always average (even though the menu makes it sound fantastic)... Anyway, today - father's day - I decided to try it once again, as many of my first choices did not have tables available. Well I should have stayed home. Citrus disappointed once again. Not only was the food below average, the service was down right poor... only to be topped off by the fact that the manager on duty dropped my father's father day present - a collection of photos - all over the floor and didn't even have the sensibility to apologize. She left them there and moved on. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me.

Never a bad meal
I have been to citrus many times, and I have yet to have a bad meal. Great for a date or for a group. Food is wonderful and atmosphere is fun.

Will definitely be back soon
This place is great for a business dinner (although you may want to sit in the back where it's quieter), a date, or just a casual dinner with friends. Prices have decreased a bit since the economic slump which is nice, and the service has actually been better recently since my husband and I have been. The food is always prompt and the whole "vibe" of the place is chill, except on super busy weekend nights at peak hours. Try their frozen margaritas- they are strong and you can try different flavors!

Cool Spot
Don't go for the food, although it was pretty good. Go for good looking crowd and nice atmosphere. Host/manager was really cool - we were late for res on a busy Sat night and it was no problem, nice table for 2 presented with a smile. Waiter was a bit flaky but he was busy. Only real sore spot on the service was the zero water refills.

Nice Brunch
Been here a couple of times for brunch and it's always been nice. Maybe slightly pricey, but not too bad. The seared tuna salad is very nice. The bloody marys are crazy spicy (that's a good thing!).
