I really enjoyed my dinner at Circus. I had the crab appetizer - I can't remember the name, but I remember being a little surprised it was like a soup. It was tasty. the real highlight was the snapper, which came with grilled tomatoes and this fruit salsa infused with olive oil. It was INCREDIBLE. I have been dreaming about this entree ever since I had it! The tomatoes looked ordinary enough, but they were grilled perfectly, and the seasoning was fantastic. I loved it. The salsa on the fish is what really sends me back for more -- there was a light sprinkling of shredded cheese, mixed with the fruity salsa. The olive oil at the bottom balanced well. So good!

I had lunch in this restaurant and was entertained by the different art work on the walls. Service was fine although the waiter confused my order with the table next to ours, and I had to ask three times for water. But when the food came out it was all better. The Shrimp Bisque delicious and the Frango A Passarinho and rice and beans were perfect. The taste of the beans were so good that they reminded me of being back in Brazil. Perfect place for a date.

I work in the area and my co-workers and I frequent CIRCUS to celebrate each other's Birthdays. I love Brazilian drinks and food. We prefer to order from the Bar Menu. The food and service are excellent. The price - affordable. The atmosphere is fun. The location is convenient to all transportation, as it is located right off Lexington Avenue at 61st Street. I recommend CIRCUS as an after work spot to mix with friends.

The food was wonderful. The crabcake appetizer was fresh and seasoned perfectly. The desserts were wonderful especially the molten chocolate cookie with grilled bananas. The only one thing that would keep me from going back would be the rude and absent minded service. The atmosphere was fun and inviting, especially in the party room in the back.

I have lived in the neighborhood and have walked by this restaurant a million times... last night I had the delightful experience of having dinner with three friends at Circus. We were all very impressed with the food, service and atmosphere. I ate the black cod which was out of this world... not a bite left on my plate. I started with a tomato, hearts of palm, green bean salad with crumbled blue cheese... again not a bite left on the plate... so delicious! The drinks were yummy and the wine list is reasonable. This is a great place to go with friends or on a date. Go to Circus... it's worth every last nickel!

Delicious food, kind staff and fun interior. Ask your waiter what to order- they really know the menu. Try the side of plantains- they are the best around.
