My husband and I went here when the wait at Balthazor's was too long. It was recommended by a New Yorker as his favorite - pleas-s-s-se? The service was good, but the atmosphere was not much to speak of, tables were on top of each other, the food was ok at best, and it was ridiculously overpriced. If you want great food, come to New Orleans, we need the business, and you'll love it!! And, "no" we are not still underwater - residential areas need a ton of help, but hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas are up and running.

Overpacked, overpriced, overrated. Remarkably disappointing. Don't waste your time or money. Stay at the Cipriani in Venice and experience the real meaning of ambiance!

Went to the West Bway location for a friends b-day dinner. I was over the lunch room cafeteria scene years ago in HS. We were seated at a long "picnic-like" table whose access was literally stepping over the benches and people seated in them. Fortunately my date had on jeans (no skirt was getting over those benches). The food was average (I had over cooked filet mignon) and came in small portions (not that I wanted to eat anymore of it). The service was prompt but a bit es. The only good thing about the place was its drinks (though they were over priced). Not good.

I'm a man who will tell you this, the LADIES that walk in and out of this place were unbelievable and it was non-stop. I was with a couple of my guy friends and we all started laughing because we couldn't believe the woman that kept coming. The bread with the red sause was great, the veal was superb but very small we're talking about maybe 7 bites worth and it's a main dish, the pasta with the veal sause i was not a fan of AT ALL. I didn't drink so i can't comment on that, but lets go back to the atmosphere, UNREAL. I was in shock for the fact that I sat outside (which is a must) and watched for two hours while bombshell after bombshell came and left. But lets just say it's not cheap, and it's very small and tight in there but you deal with it, it's worth it. Also I think you def. need to make a reservation for the place, because the entire time it was packed and we started dinner at around 9:30 on a thurs night. Also it's a really nice to place to bring a date you're trying to impress, everyone there is good looking, girls and guys.

I went and sat right next to Tommy Hilfiger. That's about it though. The seared tuna was soaked in oil and it's very overpriced. The seating outside is nice for people watching though.

Unless you're dying to say you've eaten there or are on an expense account, don't bother going here. The service is good, but the crowd is overwhelming and the food is average at best - if you're willing to pay $20+ for a small plate of pasta (angel hair with pomodoro) and $5 for a diet coke. The $9.50 cup of minestrone tasted like Veg-All in water. We sat outside and they actually let people sit at tables and smoke right near us - cigars even... simply not acceptable in New York City any more. While celebrities may visit here, they are the new ones that simply want to be recognized, not the real celebrities that go to the best restaurants in town.
