The place is ok, the food is mediocre. So why someone would go there? The reason was a very competent bartender who knew how to make everyone feel home. I used to go there all the time, bring my family, my friends and suggest the place to people. Now that the V bartender doesn't work there anymore there's no reason to come back. It's over!

I was never drawn into this restaurant from the street, but was asked by a friend to eat there. The food was delicious and the service was very good. The waitress was very friendly. I had a special dish of jambalaya, which is prob one of the best renditions of the dish that I have had in a long time. My friend had the sauteed shrimp and she was equally satisfied. I am glad that I popped in there-- I was pleasantly surprised and plan to eat there again in the future.

I dont know what these last few reviewers are talking about. I go here twice a week for lunch/dinner. The food is fresh and very good. The service is always friendly and attentive ....in my opinion, one of the best values on the UWS.

I used to love this place until recently when the food has gone way downhill. I stopped in for lunch the other day and was extremely disappointed with the quality of my fajitas. I have to agree with the other reviewers here that a change in management is needed.. also, dinner is very overpriced!

We got take out 4 times and won't go back. First time was pretty good but that was only once. Then Cheese and Chicken Enchiladas came too salty to eat. A second time we asked them to limit the salt but that didn't help. They later said the salt is in the cheese and so there is nothing they can do to fix that. Quesadillas and vegetarian burritos (custom request) were heavy as if grilled in grease. And when we refrigerated leftover black beans overnight, a white, lard-like substance solidified across the top.

The food was just OK but this is a perfect example of bad management = poor service!
