What happened?
Has gone downhill in the past few months, food is not what it use to be, and the staff is overwelmed, the staff wont have jobs if the ownership does not turn this ship back to what it use to be.. On a recent visit had the red snapper, it tasted like rubber

The Best Fajitas Ever!
This place has the best fajitas I have ever tasted. I have only eaten at the restaurant and the food is always served at the correct temperature and to perfection. Their frozen drinks, especially the Sangrita is delicious. All servers are courteous and attentive!

Subpar Tex-Mex at UES Prices
I've eaten in this restaurant as well as ordered delivery. The food was about the same except it was barely warm when delivered. The rice is routinely undercooked, there is a distinct lack of flavor in any dish I tried. If you are a midwesterner whose idea of spicy is a jalapeneo popper then give this place a try, otherwise I would not recommend this overpriced, homogenized version of Tex-Mex.

Not recommended
My wife and I ate at Cilantro a couple of weeks ago. The outdoor space was nice, but the service was questionable and the food was not so good. I couldn't eat it. We won't be going back...

Oh for good and betters
This restaurant is better, and better is standard. Standard is what you'll get, but remember, better is standard. It's better than any other Mexican food you'll ever know. The fajitas will fa-heat-ya up.

Best Happy hour in UES!
Cilantro offers great mexican food with even greater margaritas. The portions are generous and rather tasty. Happy hour (3-7 daily) offers drinks at 50% off. They also serve delicious plantain chips with freshly made salsa at the bar. Who can ask for more? You can probably get better food at Maz Mezcal, but it will cost you! Word to the wise: one Cilantro margarita goes a VERY LONG WAY. Be careful!
