Cilantro

I like everything about this UES neighborhood restaurant... except that the table service is a bit weak. It's not that the waiters are unfriendly; they just seem to be a bit inattentive, often forgetting requests for more drinks, salsa and chips. Those should really be no-brainers in a Tex-Mex restaurant. My favorite dish is the Chicken Enchiladas, though I wish they'd add a beef or steak version for variety. Otherwise, it's one of my favorite restaurants on the UES.

I've been eating here for years and tried most dishes of which all were good... you get a good bang for your buck here and the food is fresh and tasty.

The margaritas and the chips were excellent. Mine was frozen strawberry with salt, and the people I was with enjoyed both the regular frozen with salt and the frozen strawberry without. They have plantain chips there that are unlike any others I've had. They're very good, especially with the guacamole (good as well). The fajitas were decent, as was the rest of the mexican fare. The service was decent, as was the atmosphere. The value was ok, but it seemed a tad expensive for mexican food.

Fabulous margaritas - really, really good - and they pack a good punch. Great ambiance. On nice days, you can sit outside on the sidewalk or in the back garden. I live in the neighborhood and have given the place many chances. I go for the magaritas. There is just simply nothing good about their food.

This location is really good. We go here pretty often, when we want a casual and yummy meal, but cheap. The nachos and sangrias are fabulous! Two people can eat just the nachos and leave full, with a few sangrias to wash it down of course! It is a great value and is always satisfying.

We arrived at Cilantro for the first time hungry, but not famished. The aztec nachos were delicious and could easily feed two people. Both dinner specials were fresh, tasty, spicy, and gone in under five minutes. The homemade red salsa that comes with 3 varieties of chips is a fine way to appease our appetities until the main dishes arrived. Very good service and margaritas flowing like that merlot in "Sideways," Chipolte is fun, filling, and we'll be back there again. Real hungry next time.

I live in the area and went with a pretty big group to celebrate a friend's birthday. We went on Monday ( fajita night) and it was perfect. Definitely will go back.. and btw AWESOME margeritas!
