Excellent Mexican Brunch!
My boyfriend and I have been to Cilantro at least 3 or 4 times for brunch and will continue to come back! We've had the crab cake benedict, huevos rancheros, guac, margaritas, etc and it's all amazing and for a reasonable price! It also had a nice outdoor seating area. I would recommend this place to anyone.

UES Great!
I go here at least once if not twice a week. The food and service are always perfect.

Yummy guacamole
I ordered the chicken & corn quesadillas, and although the chicken was a little bit dry, they were the best quesadillas I've had since I moved to NYC a few months ago. Ordered a side of guacamole too...was very good. Delivery was prompt and accurate.

Best lunch deal on the UES
I have a few favorites here that I always order and it is always good. The drinks are great and the service is wonderful. But the lunch deals are crazy cheap for the value. We go for lunch as often as we can.

Not Good
I just ordered the Tostada salad. It's disgusting. The lettuce isn't fresh, the dressing is tangy. It's sloppy and was thrown together. I'm very disappointed and can't even eat this. Bummer! Will not order again

Disappointed
I use to live on UES and Cilantro was my favorite restaurant in a neighborhood. The service was always happy, friendly and professional, the food was great, and the margaritas were fabulous. I loved the fact that they paid attention to details: little colorful plates, cute little metal buckets for sugars, etc. That was about 2 years ago before I moved to Texas. Two years later I am in Cilantro again very disappointed this time. I was very excited to meet my old friends and have Sunday brunch in my favorite restaurant. First of all the friendly service was gone. Our server was rude and far from professional. On the top of that he didn't even speak english. When I looked around I noticed only male staff looking depressed, nobody smiled any more, the great atmosphere disappeared. We were waiting forever for the food and it came out cold. My steak was well done instead of med-rare. I waited for my coffee and water to be refilled but nobody noticed. The little plates I mentioned before were replaced by sticky plastic ones, the little metal buckets were gone and the sugar was served in dinner-like plastic holders. I am glad they didn't replace the silverware for plastic ones.

great music
I have been a cilantro customer for several years. Great food, excellent service. The only issue was the music. Strange, annoying mexican music nobody could understand. Last Monday, what a surprise the music was great. The Police, Bob Seger, Creedence and other oldies. I am glad they finally realized what is good. I will be coming more often now.
