great mexican
I have been looking for a mexican resturant for awhile and I came across cilantro. I love their chicken fajitas, extra juicy and fresh and i could eat it everyday. The food is great and the price is great. I only order delivery, but I have eatten this dish about 10 times in the past 3 weeks

Good
Me and my husband went to Cilantro for dinner with another couple. We ordered the Margharita pitcher and it was great. Food was good (not great). However our server was kind enough to change my food when i found the green souce very spicy. Overall the ambiance and environment is good and food is ok. Total around $30-35 per person.

poor delivery
we live ten blocks away and waited an hour and a fortyfive minutes for our food to arrive!! we called after 45 minutes to see what was taking so long and they said it was on the way. then when i called back again 20 minutes later, they said the order was never placed!! so all in all good food but not worth the wait!

Subpar Overall
My husband and I went to Cilantro for dinner tonight. I always use Menu Pages when deciding where to eat in NYC and must admit that after years, tonight's poor experience was the first time I decided to write a review. The food was unappetizing. The guacamole was tastless to the point where we had to request additional salsa to season it. The entire meal seemed beyond unhealthy while we were eating it (as if it had been drenched in butter). The bar was very routy (with tons of cheesy non-New Yorkers). The only bright side was the service, which was quite pleasant and responsive.

Forget the food..try the sangria
Working in the area Cilantro is known as the place to sit outside with friends and comment on street traffic..and that's about it. Their selection/food isn't the greatest in the city but..the sangria is to DIE FOR! Especially their new pink strawberry sangria..so flavorful it captures the meaning of summer..try it before they pull it off the menu!

My favorite restaruant
In my last 12 years of life i have lived in 3 different states, gone to countless restaurants and so far Cilantro is the best. in the last apartment i lived in we had it maybe 2 times a month, now i have it about 3-4 times a month. i recently went to Mexico and the food at cilantro is better also the fajitas are the best dish they have

Our favorite spot
We gave gone here at least once a week for the last 5 years - the food is very good and the drinks are even better. The staff is great and as regulars they make us feel special. Over all it's a great place to dine, and reasonably priced. The "Frozengritas" - (red sangria mixed with frozen margarita), are to die for. Best Tex-Mex around by far.
