    Not recommended

Was involved in a party which was held here. They charged way too much and gave out way too little. A friend arrived 45 minutes after the party started and was told there were no more hors d'oeuvres left, even though they had promised ample ones. Party was from 5 to 8 and when we (the hosts) arrived at 4:45 the gates were still down. They weren't opened until exactly 5 and at 8 o'clock they couldn't bustle us out of there quickly enough. Fun atmosphere but a rip off.

    Poor service

Poor customer service & manager My entire party sat w/ jaws dropped at the way she handled a major error on the restaurant's part, despite how calm/nice we were a/b it. The food/drinks r good - nothing 2 write home about, but different & decor is cool. I had a 9pm reservation for my bday for 15-20 ppl, which was made thru a concierge service. Ppl started arriving 8:30/8:45pm only to be told that our 9pm res. was really for 7pm & they gave away our spot. I spoke w/ the manager calmly & w/ a smile, because I figured it wasn't her fault, but that of someone else who worked there & wrote down the wrong time OR perhaps the concierge who booked it. I apologized to the manager, if it was a concierge, but asked that they please find room for us, because I had friends coming in from out of town. They finally squeezed us into a tiny area, but I was so concerned my friends who drove all the way into the city would have nowhere to sit. I immediately emailed the concierge 2 find out what happened. She sent me the email from Cienfuegos proving our reservation was aboslutely, 100% for 9pm So, we called the manager over to our cramped spot to let her know & see what could be done. Despite our asking very nicely, she was really rude to us, blaming me directly for the mix up, saying it wasn't her fault I didn't show up for my 7pm res. or pick up when she called at 7:45 to see if we were still coming. She then offered to print an email that she said SHE had that said 7pm. I welcomed it, but she never showed me... I told her the concierge was trying to call her, but no one was answering. I asked if she'd speak w/ the concierge & she said no She said "there's nothing we can do for you. you had the res. for 9pm in your head." She actually said that as if I had dementia or made it up & accused me of lying about having a 9pm res! All of this nastiness - even after showing her proof. We were all stunned. Then one of my friends said, in a pleasant tone "Ok. Well, if there's nothing you can do for us, then I guess that's fine. But I want you to know that we will write an honest & accurate review about our experience & the customer service" at which point she accused him of threatening her! He didn't say "We're going to write a bad review." He just said "honest & accurate". Not once did she say "I'm sorry", act apologetic or send a round of drinks. Nothing! I used to really like this place, but will NEVER go back.

I live very close to this restaurant and have been looking forward to trying it. It is always packed and looks like a good time. So, I finally gave it a try. I was very disappointed. Here is my breakdown: Food- flavorless Service- poor Drinks- overpriced Suffice to say, despite the proximity, I will not be visiting Cienfuegos again.

    Best Place Ever!!!

The drinks and food compliment each other and bring you to a whole new world. After a busy week at work, it was exactly what this guy needed.

    This ain't Havana, kids.

Strong overpriced drinks. Skimpy food portions (OK, it was tasty but no rice and beans with my meal???) What real Cuban would even consider eating here? Yea, I get it- it's a bar... Dated shabby chic decor. Crowded tight tables and LOUD (bordering on LOUDEST). Overall: If you're 20 something and have no real dining experience you may find this place novel. Mostly, it left me feeling gauged and longing for real Cuban food (not to mention my headache.) NEXT!
