No Doggy Bag for me...
The place was great -- pricey, but you get what you pay for here. The food is excellent and the service is great. The waiter upsold us an appetizer -- not a problem cause the appetizer turned out to be awesome! Only prob was that I was full and trying to decide whether to finish my steak or ask for a doggy bag. I was engaged in convo with my buddies throughout our feast and when I turned my attention back to my plate -- it was gone... The waiter didn't ask me if I was done or if I wanted a doggy bag...he just assumed I was done and took away my plate with the remaining 1/3 of my $33 steak on it. But -- the place is nice and the food is excellent.

$6.50 for instant coffee
I never write reviews online, but this was so shocking I couldn't let it go. The people are really nice, service is great, and the atmosphere is ok (though not polished enough for the price range). The salmon I had was so poor I couldn't eat it. They didn't change me, which was nice. We asked for coffee, and the waiter suggested cappuccinos, so I ordered one. It was instant coffee with frothed milk. I know that flavor really well, having been forced to drink instant coffee for years in Eastern Europe. And then the bill came and I realized I just paid $6.50 for that coffee I didn't drink. Seriously, this place is a joke. If the prices were half, I would go back. But it's upscale prices for mediocre food.

AND near my hotel!
Ok, here's the deal- I took my Mom to NY and stayed at The Helmsley. When we got there it was getting late and we were REALLY hungry so we just started walking and THANKFULLY stumbled into this beautiful restaurant! We couldn't have asked for better- from the attentive service to the wonderful food everything was spot on. It was so good in fact that Cibo became our "local hangout" for almost all of our meals. By the end of our vacation we has become regulars and were even presented with after-dinner drinks and great conversation with the staff. In a city reknowned for their amazing restaurants it was Kismet that THIS one happened to be a hop, skip, and a jump from our hotel- I can hardly wait to get back!

Great party space
We had a wonderful party at Cibo this weekend. The service was wonderful! They were great with all the details from the bows on the chair covers to making guests feel comfortable and at ease. Everyone enjoyed their brunch. Overall I would highly recommend this place to everyone.
