    Best Cubano in NYC...

Simple, down-home, heart & filling Dominican/Cuban food. Kick-ass mofungo as well. Better by far than any of the other similar options.

    Great Oxtail Guisado

I come here for one thing usually,,. the Rabo (oxtail) guisado .. you get it with yellow rice and some beans and its a hell of a plate .. they have it on alternate days so call first .. the morir sonando ( a tang like drink),. is excellemt here as well .. and its a dominicam restaurant , not cuban

    Great Food

The atmosphere and the decor simply aren't very good, but if you look past that, you'll realize that the food is great and filling. I love the pollo al horno and the bistec (the best).

    Culture in a Bottle!

I grew up eating at this resturaunt and even though they've lost their edge in strong flavor, this place still manages to kick it out in the end. It's a wonderful place to just hang out and talk about random things while waiting for your food. I go here about once a month. The homefries for breakfast is TO DIE FOR...if you lilke all that sason seasoning. The lunch/dinner plates are very large portions and could manage for two people...depending on your appetite. My family that comes to visit ALWAYS finds themselves taking a little something back home to much on. I highly commend this place to those who develop an interest in latin american food.

Great Food At the best Value

Yes, It is real Dominican Food. I am dominican so I know. I truly love this places. It reminds me of my grandmother's great cooking. I love everything in their menu. Their Sancocho is the best. I love having the chicken soup, especially when I sick. It seems to cure every illness. I also enjoy their fish en salsa with a nice plate of rice and beans. I highly recommend the Camarofongo, but plantains are acquired taste. they also have a great value. This def. one of Kizzy's Pick. Bon appetite!
