    another ordinary spot

Not bad for the cheap (and available weekends!) lunch special, OK for ordering a la carte - but the food is inconsistent, and has def slipped a notch or two since they opened. Lately I have been conducting a search for the ideal vegetarian kofta ball, aka malai kofta, as this shows how much the kitchen cares and understands the details. This kofta was mainly flour, not veg - cheap filler food. Can't complain for a cheap lunch, but with so may other places on the street, will keep on searching.

We live on the block, but usually go to another Indian restaurant that was busy tonight. Lucky for us! Chote Nawab was by far, better then the average. We had the Adrak Ke Panje/ginger flavor lamb chops, so very, very tender and delicious. Also the Shrimp Curry which was rich, flavorful and had a great kick-despite the drab name. Also has a more mellow vibe then the rest of the herd.

    going steadily down

I often order from here but the food is getting steadily worse. Pita bread instead of naan, Tiny portion of eggplant, asked for extra hot Vindaloo, got very mediocre and not spicy meal, will go elsewhere in future as Murray Hill is full of good Indian restaurants

The food is delicious, the restaurant is presentable, the staff are wonderful (except perhaps the guy who looks miserable all the time) BUT this place needs better ventilation. You leave this place reeking off curry, your clothes, hair, everything. Does not make you want to rush back!

Delicious food but be prepared ..

to leave the place smelling like curry. We had an amazing dinner there last week, cannot fault the food or service but they need to get a better ventilation system in the place.

This place is a little gem in the neighbourhood. The food is freshly prepared and delicious, the restaurant is nicely decorated and clean, the service is fantastic. I will recommend this restaurant for sure.

    Chote Nawab is the best

Wow. Amazing food. A beautiful little restaurant to dine-in, and delivery is great too. All the other restaurants in the area should take note and step up their game.
