Chop't

Confronted by the bewildering range of choices, be very careful what you select or the items could add up very fast. There is little warning of how expensive some additions are (even non-meats) and you are rushed to make selections. My salad with four or five veggies came to $12 with tax (including two 59-cent charges for "chopping"--I thought that was the point.)

The salads here are overall fine. But do NOT order delivery. Deliveries take well over an hour and a half-- on a good day! Either walk in and get the salad or don't bother.

I've ordered from these guys 5 times in the past two weeks and they have never gotten my order right. They even called me up to double check the order one time and still didn't correct it. Don't order from them if you want to be disappointed with something that is not prepared to your liking.

Chop't is a special treat. If you're going to get a salad, come to this place. Yes it's expensive, but it's done right. I actually like the salad wraps. I get a shrimp Caesar salad wrap and it blows my mind every time. I pay a little more for an extra helping of shrimp, but it's worth it. It's so big I can sometimes save some for later.

Delivery ALWAYS take forever, no matter what. And sometimes they forget your order. But the salad is okay and big, but overpriced.

I usually get my salads from toasties on 56th a 3rd but decided to try Chop-it for a change on 52nd. I usually pay $9.50 for the salad in toasties, today I paid $16 for the same salad in chop-it. That is absolutely ridiculous and way over priced and the salad was not as good. This will be the first and last time i go to chop-it on 52nd street.

I like Chop't a lot and have been going there for years but the mgmt really needs to do something about the service. They're incredibly surly about any modification. If you're paying over $10 for a lunch salad, I think that entitles you to a couple of specifics every now and then.
