Chop't

I used to get lunch at the Chop't on 14th St all the time and while it wasnt always a perfect experience, it was good enough that I kept eating there. Now my office moved and I've ordered from this location three times - the first time I got a salad that was not chopped AT ALL. It was huge pieces of food, sloppy and not good. The second time, I asked them to chop it well and it arrived, without dressing, as a big wet mess! It was literally mushy and there was a pool of water at the bottom. I couldnt eat it. Today, I ordered a sandwich and asked for very light dressing inside - but it's drenched! More $$ wasted on another subpar lunch! It's a shame because Chopt has the potential to be delicious but this location really falls terribly short!

I would LOVE to come back and eat here for my salads... but don't because the dressings are not up to par. Dressings can make or break a salad so I go to other create your salad places. Please get some good balsamic mixes (not the mustard kind) and some good sesame ginger dressing.

I ordered a cobb salad. I asked for egg whites instead of chopped eggs and the change would be an extra charge. The place is expensive enough as it is.

I apparently picked the wrong combination and paid $6.95 for a bowl of spinach greens. My total came to nearly $15 for a salad! I was so surprised I had to go back to my cashier, who barely spoke an intelligible word. Unreal. I had this salad on Wednesday and I'm still ticked off...

Food is great. The ingredients are of the highest quality. After eating at Chopt I couldn't return to any of my previous salad shops. Yes they are expensive but isn't ever salad place in NYC expensive.
