Much wider selection of vinegary salads and pickled vegetables than other places. Many seem less commercial, more homestyle. Same for some of the entrees like the chicken shawarma which is dark meat with skin which can get very crispy. And the way they put it all together in a pita or lavash just leads to a different taste/experience than other falafel/shawarma places I'm used to. Not sure if I like the overall taste more or less than the competition but I go for variety and on days when I'm especially hungry.

The food here is fresh, healthy, made on-site daily and their prices are great. Been going at least 1x/week and it never disappoints. Hummus platters are generously-portioned and a bargain (as is the falafel). The free salad bar is also a plus. Only caveats are 1) it's Glatt Kosher, so they're closed 3pm Fri afternoon thru 7pm Sat evening, and 2) the babbaghannouj has a mayo-base (e.g., Israeli-style), as the owners themselves are Israeli. Otherwise it's a nice welcome addition (quick middle eastern takeout) to a neighborhood dominated by chinese takeout, pizza joints, sit-down Turkish places and upscale steakhouses.
