Charming Lounge Area
The hostess was very accomodating, she allowed us to sit prior to our reservation time. The manager however, was not as pleasant as the wait staff or hostess. The food was seasoned well and satisfying to the palate.

Excellent eating!
We went to just to have drinks and stayed for dinner! The food was excellent and the service very attentive. Although in the Hostess had an attitude about our desire to have drinks at the table. The wait staff was a delight. We will be returning again for a birthday party and another get together with friends. It is nice to be able to stay uptown for dinner for a change.

good food not service
The food at this place is good, but why do I need to wait for a table when there's nobody in the restaurant? Why do I need to wait 20 mins for them to put forks and knives on the table so i can sit down?? Why do you basically only have one person working? I just don't get it. I liked the french toast and the mimosas were a bit weak. All in all nothing to write home about. The place looks great but the service is really poor.

Great Place
The food was great with good presentation. Very reasonably priced. The service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to get the UCONN game on TV for us. Lastly the atmosphere was great. A very comfortable and classy place. Will definitely go again.

Great Place very classy
I came saturday to celebrate a friends birthday. I found the food very good and although the portions looked small they were surprisingly very filling. The desserts are to die for, only thing is drinks are expensive for a small glass. Our waiter was wonderful, he was so attentive and friendly that we felt completely catered to. Will definitely be coming here often.

Good food, deplorable service
We have eaten here three times, and the service has gotten exponentially worse with each visit. Our first visit was enjoyable. Our or second visit, we were made to wait over 20 minutes for a table, despite the fact that more than half of the tables were empty and remained so throughout or meal. Also, our server spent most of her time on the phone rather than waiting tables. On our last visit, we waited ten minutes for someone to take our order, and then an additional 15 for our drinks to arrive. While we were eating our appetizers, our server approached out table to ask us again what our entrees were. Finally, after ordering our dessert and waiting 10 minutes, we were told they no longer had what we ordered. The unfortunate thing is that the food and atmosphere are actually quite good, but not good enough to persuade you to endure the floor staff.

Great Food and Hip Atmosphere
I tried this spot a few weeks ago and I am looking forward to going back this week. I had the Wedge salad for starters, which was made with a homemade ranch dressiong instead of blue cheese and I found it deliciously flavorful. The Shrimp and Grits are simply an explosion of flavor! I highly recommend Chocolat Restaurant.
