Tofu dishes
This is the inky place I can find tofu stew in a big variety I tried the stew and the squid with tofu cake. The side dishes with tofu soup is wonderful. I usually go to k town for lunch and would love to try the casserole one day with a group of friends. I highly recommend this place for those who like tofu dishes.

just OK
Went with party of 5 last night---it was very busy, service almost adequate. Surprised to find that the same amount of small BANCHANs were given to party of 5 as to party of 1 (sitting opposite us)---not easy to get refills. Depite certain reviews below, there was no "free" tasting bowl of ToFu Soup given to diners, nor any red bean paste for dessert. I think it overpriced for 2 oz of BanChan per person and one main dish--very heavy on the rice Several of us tried the Bulgogi---was not even a hint of BarBQ in it---turned out to be stir fried overdone beef shreds with onions and some spices. Tasty--but sure cant call it BarBQ--same for the kalki

A feast
Went with my Korean colleague to this place for lunch, and was so impressed. We both got the soup, and the food was so flavorful and filling and really reasonably priced for the amount you get. Plus the staff are so nice. Completely recommended.

I enjoyed it
I personally had good experiences at Cho Dang Gol. I never had the tofu specialty; nor did they ever recommend it to me, but the food they did recommend was delicious. The stone dish octopus rice was a perfect blend of hot, sweet, and savory and the cold cucumber noodle soup that came with the beef sirloin barbecue is something everyone should at least have once. I was disappointed that we didn't not get to cook the meat ourselves, but the beef was acceptable. There is also a multitude of complimentary side dishes (refill is also free of charge) served. The types change with the season so you can still enjoy something new even when you play it safe by choosing the dishes you had previously. As for the people, I personally like the ladies and gentlemen who try their best to satisfy me, especially if it is during the midday afternoon rush. They are very easy to talk to and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very comfortable. Though the price is a bit steep for a college student like me, I do enjoy going there to celebrate special occasions with friends and family.

Overrated!!!
I heard a lot of good things about this place, so I tried it. Myself being Korean, so I know a thing or two about what constitutes good Korean food. My overall approval rating of this place is satisfactory and not what other people are saying about it. To give them a high 4 is outrageous!

This is not worth it.
After reading all the great reviews regarding this restaurant I decided I should try it out. So i walked 14 blocks to eat the kimchi & tofu soup and boy was I disappointed. It had no taste but i finished it and walk the 14 blocks back. I am willing to try it again but this time it got 2 thumbs down.
