    Gobble Gobble!

This place looks like a dive, no atmosphere, a few little tables but the takeout and delivery business is brisk. The turkey burger is indeed the best I've had in New York (I am a turkey burger connoisseur) Flame brioled, tender, nice crunchy bun. The fries are also first rate. The chicken is always moist and tasty. Love the baked sweet potato. A tremendous value. So happy I live three blocks away. I eat their food twice a week. The cops are always in there ordering takeout. FAST SERVICE as well.

Best Turkey Burger in the Hood

I work in the neighborhood and order the Turkey Burger at least 1-2 times a week. Its always delicious! My coworkers order the half chicken often as well, and they love it. Hard to find a better deal for the $$$ in this neighborhood. Best for take out or delivery, because the place itself is very very small. Great food and great prices!

Doesn't look like much, but whoa baby!

I'll keep this review short. You don't bring your date here unless you want her to think you're cheap and classless. You don't bring your boss here to ask for that big raise. But for the love of god, if you're into cheap food that tastes so good it'll make you wanna slap your mama, do yourself a favor and run to up Amsterdam to 77 st.. Insanely good food, even at twice the price, ready almost immediately, and open late. Oh and their delivery is blindingly fast. Chriping chicken, you've pecked a warm feathery place into my heart forever.

Chirping Chicken is my life line!

I couldn't live without Chirping Chicken! I hate to cook, and I am watching what I eat. 1/4 chicken, a baked sweet potato (yum!) and a small salad from Chirping Chicken is one of the most satisfying meals I can find in the neighborhood, and really helps me stick to my food program. The chicken is always moist and salty and hot, really the best around. I have found the salads to be fresh and cold and really good. Delivery is always super fast. One of the best deals on the Upper West Side. If they ever closed I would be destitute!

    Meatball says yes

I have ordered CC over 50 times. Chicken Souvlaki is superb as well as the Gyro platter. Some times the fries get a little soggy in the foam container. Mozz sticks are the best. Hamburgers are good too. Pass on the nuggets go for the tenders instead.

We are very picky eaters. In the UWS- a desert devoid of good food, we have found an oasis in the Chirper. Of course it's not haute cuisine. It's just good ol' fashion good food that is not too greasy or msg-laden like every other delivery restaurant here. The chicken caesar salad is very good and light. The gyro sandwich is fantabulous, and I don't ever eat lamb otherwise. The service is really amazing. If they forget a sauce that you ask for extras for, they will send someone right back just for you. Try it!

    Okay but not great

I went here because of the glowing reviews and came out disappointed. The service was very brusque; I had to ask for the lunch specials menu twice before they'd give it to me even though there was no other customer in the store. Overall, I wasn't that impressed by my quarter chicken special. The chicken was quite moist and flavourful as said by other reviewers, but I found several pinkish spots in my quarter piece. The salad they give you as a side is poor--it's drenched in greasy but tasteless Italian dressing, the lettuce was really old and damaged, and the peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers didn't look too great either. The amount of fries they gave me was impressive--but way too much for one person to eat, so I'd recommend getting rice instead.
