Best BBQ ribs and chicken in UES NYC
The bbq chicken and ribs are to die for. Rib falls off the bone. The freshly made tomato sauce is heaven and the bbq sauce is delicious. And it all comes with grilled pita bread. They will give you extra sauces if you ask. This place is an institution. Been there at least 30years. Get food to go or delivered. Best enjoyed in pjs at home. YUMMYx100,000

Nice stop for lunch
Great place to go for lunch. Chicken was moist, service fast, and portions were large. I got a 1/4 chicken meal and my daughter got the chicken fingers and fries..both were very good. It's a small informal place to grab a bite.

No Bueno
I'm a huge fan of the Chirping Chicken on the UWS, but I was severely disappointed by the food served at this location. The rice was tasteless and dry, the chicken had about 15% of edible meat, and the greek salad…well, I’m not exactly sure what that was, come to think of it. Instead of stuffed grape leaves, onions, olives, tomatoes or any of the OTHER indigenous greek salad staples that I normally get from the Chirp on the UWS, I received a culinary concoction of cucumbers, a few pieces of lettuce, beets, a half a can of kidney beans (sadly, I’m not exaggerating) and a side of Italian dressing. To their credit, there was a chuck of feta on top, but I consider that a vacuous gesture considering what was underneath.

Subpar Service, OK Food
The service is subpar here, the people who take the orders over the food could not be more rude. I know Chirping Chicken can not be expected to have the same level of service as Le Cirque, but the people who work at CC lack common manners and decency.

The chicken strikes again!
I have two meals that I love to order there. One is 1/4 rack of baby back ribs and a side of fries. This is obviously very unhealthy and I only have it every once in a while, but it is amazing! Usually, I order a 1/4 chicken (dark meat) with sides of rice and cole slaw. If you are someone who has never been, you need to go to Chirping Chicken. Ladies and gentlemen: The chicken strikes again!

good value, but tough staff
i have been going to this place for years and ordering delivery, i have vowed a few times to never return (due to bad or rude service), but you cant beat the value. always consistent food, you know what you are going to get, no problem. there is one lady who is super tough -- very hard to tell who is the owner.

poor service
My fish filet sandwich came with only tomato and lettuce, even though the menu over the list of sandwiches mentions onion too. I returned to the counter and asked for onion. I was told that I would have to be charged extra for it because onion only comes with a deluxe sandwich. When I explained that that wasn't what the menu in front of me said, she threw the written menu at me and said it was on that menu, and she would have given me the onion for free, but because I had an attitude I could forget it. I told her she had to live up to the menu I read, and if they wanted to change the rule, they had to change the menu. I'm not going back--in this economy, this is no way to handle customer service--come to think of it, in any economy this is no way to handle customer service!
