Better than any fast food anywhere
Fresh, delicious and the right price. Lines are long which is an indication of the quality here. Sevice is efficient and they work as fast as they can with everything being made to order. I highly recommend.

Ethical Mexican fast food?
Hey, it's a fast food joint, right? But we went in because it promised ethically raised meat and you don't get that too often with fast food so it's a trend we want to support. The burritos were huge, but maybe the rice is bland and the salsa too - however it is possible to spice it up with the free Tabasco - pity there's no free peppers like in Quizno's. In the end we've been back so they can't be getting it all wrong!

what's all the fuss about???
I don't know what all the fuss is about. This is is nothing more than fast food Mexican. You go to a big counter and order from one of 4 entrees, then you choose one of 5 meats or vegetables, then you top it off with one of 4 salsas. All the food sits in warming trays and the women behind the counter serves your meal cafeteria style - yum-yum. The woman serving had a heavy accent so it was hard to understand her when she tried to explain the deal to me. She seemed upset when I couldn't undertand what she was talking about. After your meal is slopped together you take your tray and sit at one of the nice sterile stainless steel counters. The Chipolte I went into had rock music playing in the background and the place looked like the insides of a warehouse, clean but not such a great atmosphere to eat in. I had the burrito with shredded pork and roasted chili-corn salsa. The pork was rather good tasting but it didn't help much because the rice in the burrito was bland and over-cooked and the salsa was tasteless. The only thing that saved the meal was the chipolte flavored Tabasco sauce that I slathered on my meal. I think that people like this place because the food is cheap, you get it fast, and it's filling. If you want that, take your chances at Taco Bell. On the whole, I didn't like the place too much, so I don't think i'll be coming back.

Pleasantly Surprised
My colleague treated me to lunch today and I found myself pleasantly suprised with how good the food was. It was rather tasty, flavorful and the serving size was more than I expected for lunch. It's not the cheapest, but a nice treat every once in a while. The line was rather long, which is to be expected with a lunch crowd.
