Not a fan
The food here is mediocre and not very good for you (look up the Chipotle calculator to see for yourself). In my opinion it's not worth the prices and there are other places that are better. I like Burritoville, it's healthier with brown rice, white meat chicken and different wrap options.

Fast, fresh and delicious!!
The thing I love about Chipotle (apart from the yummy food) are the super-efficient staff that make your burrito / taco just how you want it practically faster than the speed of light!! Don't be put off by the line outside the door - it moves pretty fast. The posting of calories has made me avoid the chips now - but there are lots of options and this place serves much tastier food than other local places, including sit-down Mexican restaurants like Red. Also better than Burritoville in my opinion! Prices are reasonable, especially considering Chipotle source antiobiotic free meet etc.

delicious
I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about. The reason there are long lines out the door is because the food is fresh, delicious and fast - perfect for lunch. The line tends to move pretty fast, you have your food within 10 minutes of lining up. The ingredients they use are clean, fresh and tasty. And yes, this is fast food, and that's why there is a limited choice. But there is lots of flexibility as to how you can order your food and what you can put in it. If you want tasty, healthy burritos that have huge portions, then come here. The prices are between $6-9 which I think is very worth it. I come back here again and again for lunch.

I'm from New York...
and regardless of what you say, I still think Chipotle is average. It's really nothing to write home about, with limited choices and absurdly long waits. I am wondering when Gerry P goes, since whenever I went (which was twice) it took an hour to place my order, which was sloppily thrown together. To top if off, the chips offered were incredibly salty. Like I said, its not terrible, but I don't understand what the big fuss is all about.

Amazing Burritos!
Chipotle is absolutely amazing. You can't go wrong with this place if you like burritos. They also have tacos and open burritos, which is a burrito without the tortilla in a bowl. The review below isn't accurate and is obviously from someone who doesn't live in nyc. The lines are long during lunchtime, but with such high quality food, it would be odd if there wasn't a line in downtown manhattan. Expect to wait about 10-15 mins in line at most. It moves quick and its definitely worth it. Decent amount of seating, tables and stools. Drinks range from sodas to beers and margaritas. Burrito is the best I've ever had. I've visited so many chipotles and they never dissapoint.

Average
All of my friends from the South rave about Chipotle having the best burritos ever. Boy, are they wrong. The food is average, fairly expensive, and the choices are limited. If you don't want a burrito, you're out of luck. The line is also absurdly long, and the food really isn't worth waiting on line for an hour. All in all, you're better off going to a hole in the wall joint for better Tex-Mex food. But, if you must go to Chipotle it's not terrible; just not as great as I expected.
